George was my 2nd cousin. His aunt Vina was my grandmother and my mother Eloise was his cousin. I was told that Vina was the first female to graduate from a Young Harris College. The Berry family have a long history in N Ga. My mother Eloise was best friend to Jane Miller (Zell's sister). People like George and the Berry family are treasures. On behalf of Vina, Eloise and myself You made us proud!

Here's remembering the man who taught me that chewing tobacco was a nasty habit. He was also a pretty good trout fisherman. We'll miss you.
Sincerely,

I didn't know you Mr. Berry, but you should been an ambassador for the WHOLE SOUTH during your time.
This is coming from a Black Disabled Veteran that was raised up in Florida during the 60's.
I live in the Kirkwood and Eastlake area, and while it has been gentrified, it's better because of Tom Cousins and yourself. Hopefully the rest of Atlanta will used the same model, and that is the people are the most important asset, whether you're rich or poor, black or white.
Thanks for your contributions to the State of Georgia, the City of Atlanta, and the New South.

Mr. Berry was a generous and kind man. As a member of the FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY he gave his time and talents to make the library better. I am so sorry for the family and for Forsyth.
