Bert Motoyama Obituary

Bert H. Motoyama, 76, of Sebring, Florida, left this earth on September 13, 2018 after a brave and valiant battle with heart disease. Born in Hilo, Hawaii, Bert went to school in Illinois and California, graduating from California State University before joining the United States Air Force. He traveled Europe and the United States for thirty-five years as a civilian contractor for the United States Army, retiring in the position of Director of Logistics and Procurement. After retiring he used his pilot's license to pursue his passion for aviation. He owned Flight Line Aviation and later Paradise Air and manufactured and sold aircraft at the Sebring Florida Airport.
He is survived by his wife, Eloise Lee Motoyama; his sons, Henry Motoyama and Mark Motoyama; his daughter, Gina Motoyama; and his lifelong friend, Henry Mori. He also has grandchildren, Ashley, Brittani, Tyler and Deven, as well as great-granddaughter, Savannah. He is greatly missed by his wife of eight years, Eloise Lee Motoyama, who refers to him as "the love of her life." They met when they were both widowed and were extremely grateful for the time they had together. He will also be missed by Eloise's daughters, Wendy Lee and Jennifer Barbour, who grew to love him as a member of the family.
