Glover family,
I never had the honor of meeting Ron however I have showed a video for years that he narrated about IBM Policy #4. He clearly was a ambassador for IBM and he and I shared J.D DNA. May his legacy leadership continue to live within his daughters.

I saw an English footballer who lookd just like Ron (when he was younger). I googled Ron to see what he was up to; and learn of his death. I worked with Ron at DEC for many years; and had tremendous respect for him. His passing brings tears to my eyes - so young and so good. While the pain may subside, the emptiness does not.

Like many of the posters I worked with Ron at IBM. At the time he was VP of Global diversity Programs. I wanted to make a career change and needed a mentor. Everyone suggested that it was hopeless to expect him to make time on his calendar for me, bu he did. His legacy is tremendous. Although I only came across this obituary today and am shocked at the news of Ron's passing, I do offer the deepest condolences to his family. May the sweet memories of him continue to bring you comfort.

Gail - I was so very saddened to read of Ron's passing. I worked as a secretary/paralegal with Ron for years in the mid 80's and 90's at Digital Equipment Corporation. You and I would talk once in a while on the phone. Ron was BY FAR the very best, brightest and greatest man I have ever worked with. My heartfelt sympathy to you and the girls.

Ron was a wonderful, kind man and I am happy to say that I was able to work with him for many years at Digital. I always remember, I used to kid him about the time we ran into him at Cochituate State Park, I believe he was on some type of picnic and he was so embarrassed by us seeing him in his t-shirt and shorts! What a great man he was. He will be missed by many. My condolences.

Ron sat on the pew in front of us on Sundays. He seemed to have a smile and a warm greeting for each person he met. What I remember most about Ron is when he spoke on Zaccheaus.Luke 19:1-4. He said being short in stature he could relate to Zaccheaus. Now Jesus has brought you home to His House. Gail,Girls, and Grands you are in my prayers.

Gail and family:
I worked with Ron at DEC. As others have stated, he was always energetic, friendly, funny and most of all, helpful and honest.
I had not spoken with him recently, and I'm sorry for that.
No matter how much time passed, he was always welcoming and cheerful. We all will miss him.
I wish you and all who knew and loved him, peace in this difficult. His memory will live on with many.

To the Glover family we send you our deepest sympathies. The last time we saw Ron at the Daley's cook-out we looked forward to our retirement years. Little did we know that would be our last chance to exchange ideas with this great man. Family, hold on to your fond memories of your life together for they will get you through the days ahead. We are praying for you. Ralph and Donna Martin

I am thinking of you all today as you say goodbye to a man that all can take pride in knowing. Ronnie and the Glover family entered our lives in the late 80's through Alvan and Natalie, and though I've known of his great accomplishments and highest levels of dedication to his family, friends and community, in reading his legacy all I can say is "wow." He couldn't have lived his life any fuller. I'm so grateful for the love he showed to my family - to my aunt, uncle, grandmother and cousin especially - and for the wonderful example of how to be that he and Gail have been. Prayers to Gail, Nicolla, Camille, Corinn, Noah, Grayson, Amani and all of those lucky enough to have been touch by "Master Glover." He wil be missed... Janine Robinson/Robinson-Revallion Family

Although it has been many years since I had the pleasure of working with Ron here at the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of the Regional Solicitor, I remember him well, as an esteemed colleague, a true gentleman, and a person who exuded positive energy and enthusiasm -- not to mention a very fine lawyer. I was also in touch with Ron for some years after his tenure here, and enjoyed hearing about his latest endeavors and especially his far-flung travel adventures. I remember him in only positive ways, and know how much he will be missed by his family and his community. My heart goes out to all of you. In sympathy, on my behalf personally and on behalf of my office, Michael Felsen, Regional Solicitor

After not seeing Ron for many years, he crossed my mind quite unexpectedly a few days ago and I wondered how he was. I had heard he and the family bought a condo in Heritage Hills in Somers, NY where I live. Ron and I worked together at DEC and he honored my HR skills with helping him create his professional development plan. As others have said, he was always warm and welcoming and inclusive of all. Safe journey, my friend. Patricia Adams

I had the privilege of Ron being in my sales unit at NET in 1976. He was the brightest, most pleasant and productive Account Executive who ever reported to me. It was a no brainier to give him the highest rating & to recommend him for promotion. When he left to work for the US Labor Dept, he visited me to say goodbye. Over all of these years, he has always been on my mind. I knew that he would be a great success wherever he worked. I'm deeply thankful for having known him. God bless you Ron. To Ron's Family
Like several others who have written in this guest book, I worked with Ron at IBM. Thinking about my interactions with him always brings a smile. Ron was so patient with people, always had time for you no matter what the question and he cared about each of us as people as well as the organization. He will always be fondly remembered. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Gail and Family - Ron was an incredible mentor, leader and friend. I served on a panel with him not long ago, and we shared stories of raising families, and the magic of daughters (I have 2). His legacy will live on forever, and I thank you all for sharing him with us at IBM. Our love and prayers to all of you. - Lindsay-Rae McIntyre, IBM HR Vice President

The IBM Community is heartbroken. Ron was greatly respected for his legacy and commitment to Diversity and Global Workforce programs. It was a pleasure to have served under his leadership. I learned a lot about business from him, but it was our conversations on counting our blessings for family, friends, and the opportunity to enjoy our labor, not as a job, but as a ministry of service, that are most memorable. With love and passion he always spoke highly of his family with praise and pride. I miss my friend alerady. Donald

To Gail, Ron's daughters, family and fellow friends - I am broken-hearted to read of Ron's sudden passing. He was a force of nature and is leaving both a vacuum and a wake. Few people have touched so many lives and institutions. I worked with Ron at DEC in the 1980s where he often called me forth as an HR professional. And made me laugh. I include him in my meditation to help him make an easy transition. And I wish you courage, patience and tenderness as you mourn. Such an enormous loss....

My mentor and role model, not only in business, but as a father, a citizen and a member of the human race. I can't remember a time when I ever spoke to him when I didn't feel a bit better after the conversation. Even when we disagreed, I knew he was teaching me, getting me to think broader. See you on the other side brother. We'll keep the light held high.

I worked with Ron at IBM early in my career and was his HR Partner. He was always kind, funny, and even as a Senior Executive would give me the time of day. What you wrote seems very true- that he never met a stranger. I was so saddened to hear of Ron's passing and your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

It is with a very heavy heart that I send my sincere condolences to Ron's family at this time of unimaginable loss. I (and my WFD Consulting colleagues) had the pleasure of working with Ron for several years before he retired from IBM. He was a man of great integrity and caring. Whenever he and I had a conversation or meeting it always included an update about his family and a genuine inquiry about how my family was doing. I was so thrilled for him when he retired and feel such profound sorrow that he was taken from his family far too soon. However, knowing Ron I'm sure God has something very special planned for him. My prayers go out to all Ron's family and friends.
