My earlier comments remain apt. I continue to have very fine memories of George. Coincidentally, I was at an Essex County Bar social event yesterday. George was there in spirit. Bob Holloway

What I wrote about George nearly 3 years ago still resonates today. He was a fine lawyer, a mentor and a genuinely good guy. I learned a great deal from him, especially when I first started practicing law in the early '70's. I remain grateful that I knew him as a lawyer and as a friend. My best to the entire family. I always will remember George with great fondness and admiration. Bob Holloway

Dear Linda, Harry and Saundra,
I was so very sad to hear of George's death. Words fall very short at a time like this. My heart is heavy with you. I know how much George was loved and cherished. My memory of him is his great sense of humor. I believe it runs in the family, May the times of laughter and practical jokes give you memories of sweet times with George.
Love,
Bernadette

I first met George in about 1974, a year after I started practicing law. George worked closely with my law firm at that time, especially in regard to eminent domain cases. I assisted George in the trial of a case involving a taking in Danvers (the Gates property). It was an enjoyable, instructive and gratifying experience. I learned a great deal from George, for which I always will be grateful.
Over the years, George and I were adversaries in cases and comrades in bar association events in Essex County. I always enjoyed his company, his wit and his good cheer. He was a fine lawyer and a terrific guy.
I will miss him and am sure that many others will miss him as well.
My sincere condolences to the entire family.

Linda and family, I am sorry for your loss. George was a great man, a mentor and friend. I will cherish the insight he provided whenever I had a question, or just the light banter and sarcasm while passing by my office daily. Godspeed George, you will be missed by all...your friend, Paul.
