Greg was the most selfless human being I have ever known. He had a unique way of eating breakfast, sandwiching his eggs between two slices of toast but buttering them on the outside and afterward licking the delicious butter off his fingers. Greg enjoyed listening to Jackson Browne in his later years. He found meaning in helping people at work, dealing with rent control regulations, and chafed at bureaucracies more concerned with self-preservation than serving the public-a man who lived by a moral code. They don't make them like that anymore. A memorable man.

I am so sorry to hear of Greg's passing. He helped us as Boston tenants, he was an absolute pleasure, we were lucky to have met him. God bless.

Greg was a great friend during his time at the University of Hawaii. He was one of the smartest people on campus and was always ready to discuss (and argue) the political issues of the day. He was a gentle, kind and thoughtful soul with a genuine concern for the downtrodden. I will really miss him. Happy trails my friend.

While I never had the opportunity to meet Greg, I felt as if we were kindred spirits. I just learned of his death. He was a wonderful email buddy and we shared our love and concern for workers and union democracy. I know all that knew him will sorely miss him and have many wonderful memories of his life and work.

Greg King was an intellectual giant, a gifted writer; a man who was soft-spoken and caring of humanity. He lived a life of advocacy and actions for justice and equity for all. My family and I have great sadness in our hearts on his passing. Sincere condolences to Yupin and other members of his family. Dear Greg: E Malama Pono.

Greg was one of the most decent men I've ever known. He was my first friend in college. He had the most agreeable, apologetic manner when disagreeing with you. It was impossible to become angry with him. His trusted counsel will be sorely missed. My deepest condolences to the King family. I am saddened by his untimely death.
