Ruth Cassidy Obituary
She was the wife of the late James Joseph Cassidy, Sr.
Born in Philadelphia, PA she was the daughter of the late Harry and Mildred Aaron Dukeman.
Ruth was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Rising Sun, MD.
Ruth enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved the Jersey shore and met her husband in Margate. Later they spent summers in North Wildwood with their children. This planted the seeds for their children to also love the shore. More recently she loved spending time with her grandchildren in Avalon. She loved the beach, sun, pool and people watching. She absolutely loved going out to dinner and could eat more than her grandsons! She made everyone laugh and she will be sorely missed by all ??.
She is survived by one son, James Cassidy of Oxford; one daughter, Ruthie Mancuso (Peter) of Newtown Square; five grandchildren, Peter (Becca) Mancuso, Kaitlyn (Greg) Hennessy, Kristen (Michael) Pillion, Cassidy Mancuso and Michael Mancuso; and four great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Sophia, Michael and Isla coming in Sept. 2025.
Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday, September 6, 2025 at the Edward L. Collins, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 86 Pine St., Oxford, where family and friends may visit from 10 am - 11 am.
Interment will be in Oxford Cemetery.
