Ruby Baker Obituary
Boonville, IN - Ruby Deloris Baker, 88, of Boonville, IN passed away Thursday, November 28th, 2019 at her home. She was born September 5th, 1931 in Warrick County IN to the late Raymond and Susie Hester.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Staser Baker; daughter Stasey (Kelly) Chapman; son Rusty Baker; son Jeff (Mironda) Baker. All of Boonville, IN. She was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren; Kelsey (Forrest) Holder, Kalyn Chapman, Cameron Chapman, Russell Baker, Brittnie (Paul) Clark, Abbygayle Baker; Haley Baker, Hanna Baker; sister Geraldine Shoulders; and many nieces and nephews. Ruby was preceded in death by brothers Richard Hester; Lawrence Heck, Charles Heck, Charles Hester, George Hester, sisters, Doris Ingram, Marie Galloway, and Margaret Halbleib. Ruby was a lifetime member of American Legion Lady Auxiliary, Post 200, and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, Post 3418.
Ruby loved traveling, gardening, bowling, music, sporting events and spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. The family would like to give special thanks to the ladies of AseraCare Hospice staff and her caregivers.
Visitation will be held at BRADLEY'S COLONIAL CHAPEL, Boonville, IN from 3:00-8:00 pm Monday December 2nd, 2019. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday December 3rd, 2019 at 10:00 am at St. Clements Catholic Church in Boonville, IN with a visitation one hour prior to mass at church. Interment Maple Grove Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Ruby may be made to St. Clements Catholic Church, or The Alzheimer's Foundation of America. To the Family of Ruby,
So sorry I couldn't be either at the Wake or the Funeral Mass this morning. I had other appointments all day yesterday and this morning I had two Masses. So I want to sincerely send my Prayers and Sympathy to all of you. Ruby was always such a kind person. I will keep you all in my prayers at this time of loss, and certainly for Ruby.
