Alice MASSEY Obituary
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Dr. John W. Massey.
A native of Bridgeville, Del., she was a Peninsula resident since 1950. Mrs. Massey was a loyal member of Chestnut Memorial United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Pat Martin and her husband, Fred of Alabama, Mary Morley and her husband, Bob of Texas, and Beth Odom and her husband, Creig of South Carolina; son, John Massey III and his wife, Julie of Georgia; five grandchildren, Susan Tilley, Danny Callis, John Massey, Lora Massey and Meredith Morley; and one great-grandchild, Isaac Callis.
The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, with funeral service to follow at 2 p.m., at Peninsula Funeral Home. The Rev. Bob Gochenour will officiate. Interment will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or a charity of your choice.

I was sorry to hear of you mother's death. She made us feel so welcome all those years at your big house. We sure had fun playing and sharing time with you all growing up. Then I even got to see your mom a few times at Warwick Forest. Take care--would love to visit with you all ....Mary Anne Barrow Dellinger

We were sorry to hear your mother passed away. I remember that she sometimes volunteered at lunch at Woodrow Wilson and was so sweet. May memories warm your heart. Bill we hope you can get to one of our NNHS reunions. We would love to see you!
