Jennifer Anne Kemp

KEMP, JENNIFER ANNE, Passed away Monday, July 30, 2007, while working in London, England. She was 40 years young. Mass of Christian Burial: 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10th, at St. Andrew Catholic Church. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park. There will be a Celebration reception immediately following at St Andrews Parish Hall. Visitation: 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9th, at Thompson's Harveson and Cole Funeral Home where a vigil service will begin at 7 p.m. Memorials: Gifts in Jennifers memory may be made to: Animal Guardians, in care of All Care Vet Hospital, 353 North Denton Tap, Coppell, Texas 75019. Jennifer was born on Oct. 16, 1966, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Jennifer graduated from Southwest High School in Fort Worth. She graduated from North Texas State University with a BS in Accounting, and MS in Taxation, and was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. Jennifer was a Director with Deloitte Tax LLP. As a Tax Director, she led the Mid-America regions Global Employer Service (GES) co-sourcing practice. Jennifer was loved and admired by both her colleagues and clients, and had an unusual ability to take a colleague or client relationship and turn it into close, caring friendship. Jennifer lived her life to fullest, and although she had a demanding career she never missed an opportunity to spend time with friends and family, especially her nieces and nephews whom she adored. Jennifer enjoyed traveling, reading, romantic comedies, the occasional poker tournament, and sports - especially her beloved Dallas Stars. A Stars season ticket holder, she would entertain family, friends and clients at these games. She especially enjoyed sharing the game with her nephew JT. Her passion for hockey led her on a mission to see as many hockey arenas as she could, and she went on "Road Trips" to watch the Stars play in different cities. One of her favorite memories was when she got to hold the Stanley Cup after the Stars won the championship. She will always be remembered for bringing out the best in people, her infectious laugh and ability to poke fun at herself before anyone else had a chance to. She had a passion for animals and had spent time volunteering at local shelters, as well as adopting stray cats over the years. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the members of her employer, Deloitte Tax LLP, who have been so caring and supportive in assisting the family during these difficult times. Survivors: Her parents, Thomas and Ruth Kemp, brother, Geoffrey and his wife Deleigh, sister, Julie Seale and her husband Joe, and brother, Jack and his wife Angela; nieces and nephews, Krystal Venable and husband Jody, Ashleigh Holland, J.T. Seale, Abby Kemp, Katie Kemp, and Joanna Seale, great-niece, Kayleigh Venable, great-nephew, Ayden Holland, and her two cats Kate and Leopold. She also leaves behind a large extended family mostly in the Tri-State area of Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin including her grandmother, Margaret Kemp of Dubuque, Iowa.
