if dadcould tell us
to my children family friends,
i didnt waNT TO LEAVE , IHADLEFT BEFORE ONLT TO SIT THREW LONG LINES OF TRAFFIC WHICH HAD MADE ME VERY NERVOUS.MY CHILDRENCAME TO GET ME BUT I PUT MY FOOT DOWN AND I JUST FELT THAT THESE STORMS ALWAYS MAKE A LAST MINUTE TURN. AND BESIDES I HAVE BEEN THRW ALOT OF STORMS.I THOUGHT ANYWAY I HAVE LIVED A GOOD LONG LIFE.I SERVIVED WORLD WAR II MEET YOUR DEAR MOM AND WAS PROUD OF MY CHILDREN.I CAN REMEMBER ALL OUR TRAditions . like mardi gras on lee circle the born fires on new years eve,thangsgiving dinners wiht your cousins and even the saintsgames that would run my blood presssure high...but most of all was me playing santa clause christmaseve. oh what a pleasure to have so many generations of the family sit on my lap. when your mom died 3 yrs. agomy heart never mended,but your oting and visits i will always treasure...as the stormwas getting bad i recieved many phone calls from my children and grand...just to let youknow i listen to your advise and put the attic stairs down. the wind was likenothing i heard before, i bthought the worst was over. then came the water i climrd up those stairs in shock. how could this be happing? I WAS STUCK UPSTAIRS AS THE WATER CAME UP ABOUT FIVE FEET. ICOUULD HEAR EVERTHING CRASHING IN THE HOUSE, I THOUGHT THIS WAS NO HURRICANE THIS WAS THE END OF THE WORLD.. I I PRAYED ANA PRAYED,I THOUGHT ABOUT ALL OF YALL WHO WAS SO DEEPLY IN MY HEART.I SAID I DIDNT WAN T TO DIE LIKE THIS...WHILE INPRAYYOU EVEN THINK OF BAD THINGS , DID I HURT ANYONE, WAS I GOOD TO MY NEIGHBORS,IEVEN THOUGHT I WAS FIGHTING WOULD WAR 11 AGAIN,OH WHATTHE HEAT AND SHOCK WILL DO TO YOUR MIND. IM TRIED TO CALM DOWN AND BREATH BUT IM TO WEAK, SO AS I LAY DOWN AND CLOSE MY EYES , I FINALLY REALIZE I WAS CARRY MY CROSS, JUST AS JESUS DID. JUST AS I LAY I SEEN MY CECILE SHE REACHED OUT HER HADD AND SAID 'PAT ITS TIME TO GO HOME' WHAT A BLESSING FOR ME FOR YOUR MOM TO TAKE ME TO OUR LORD AND SAVIOR.KEEP THE FAMILY TOGETHER WHAT EVER MISTAKES I DID HOPFULL YOU CAN DO THEM BETTERAND WHAT EVER I DID RIGHT YOU CAN DO BETTER. KEEP JESUSFIRST,IM IN PARADISE,NO FEAR NO PAIN ...MISS ME BUT LET ME GO.........LOVE ALWAYS DAD ,XXX,OOO

Charlotte and Shelia, I am still sorry that you lost your dad. Looking at this picture today reminds me of how cute he and Miss Cealie were. I will never forget their 50th wedding anniversary party. They were so cute. You are so blessed to have had your parents for so long. I can just see them now - dancing a little jig down the streets of heaven.....
