Gene was always one of my favorite people to work with while at lobar. He always had a good testimony. I will fondly remember Him as a friend. May God comfort you during this time knowing that Gene is with the Lord Jesus now. John 14: 1-3.

It was my fortune to have known Gene. Whether it was on a church construction site or walleye fishing in Quebec, it was his kindness that I remember. Patient and a good listener, Gene exuded character.
For 1 week, 8 hours a day I shared a boat with Gene fishing for walleye. You get to know someone spending that much time together since fish dont always bite. We talked. Grizzly bear hunting - he made me feel like I was there with him when he described it. And his faith in God came through, it was part of who Gene was.
