Richard "Dick" Thomas Craig

Richard "Dick" Thomas Craig, 81, died peacefully, surrounded by his family on December 29, 2020. He was born on September 5, 1939, in Buffalo, NY, the son of the late Emma (Miller) and James Craig.

Dick graduated from Pleasantville High School in 1957, where he was a running back on the football team and a champion pole vaulter and high jumper on the track team. He was also Chief Justice of the student court. Dick received a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Dartmouth College in 1961. He began his career in finance at National Bank of Westchester, where he met and married Cynthia Roberts. He worked for many years as a Bond salesman in New York, NY for Prudential-Bache Securities.

In his spare time Dick enjoyed jogging and playing tennis as well as studying the weather, the stock market, and American History.

Dick is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Joanne Craig of Lake Geneva, WI; sister Susan Youngdale of Amherst, NH; sister Diane Ripley of Mt. Kisco, NY; brother Jon Craig of Bronx, NY; brother Gibson Craig of Orleans, MA; son Robert Craig of White Plains, NY; daughter and son-in-law Deborah and John Duarte of Armonk, NY; daughter and son-in-law Jen and Clay Nicholson of Plymouth, MA; grandchildren John Duarte of Armonk, NY; Ryan and Jared Nicholson of Plymouth, MA; Victoria Craig and Tyler Coffey of Pleasantville, NY; and Adriana Craig of Pelham, NY. He was the brother of the late Douglas and Jeffrey Ripley.

Dick's wishes were to be cremated. His family plans to hold a memorial at a future date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society.
