Alvin Heatwole Obituary

Alvin B. "A.B." Heatwole, Jr., 97, of Palmyra passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2020 in Columbia Cottage, Palmyra. Born March 4, 1923 in East Hanover Township, Dauphin County, he was the son of the late Alvin B., Sr. and M. Wilda (Cline) Heatwole. A.B. was the widower of Mildred N. (Nornhold) Heatwole since April 2019 and also preceded in death by sisters Eudora Gunn and Beverly Smith. He was a retired self-employed insurance agent and supervisor at Hershey Foods Corporation. A member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Grantville, he was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II and a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Surviving are his daughters Tanya A. Heatwole and Lynnette L. Wheeler; granddaughter Allyson L. Wheeler all of Palmyra; and several cousins. A memorial service will be held at a future date. Private interment in Grantville Cemetery.
