Brandon Guyant Obituary
Oshkosh - On Monday, May 20, 2019, Brandon Guyant, 28, died from an opioid overdose in his home after a long, tiring battle with addiction. Brandon is survived by his fiancée, Melissa Gritton; parents, Michele and Kurt; siblings, Jacob, Shawnee, Anna, and Neil; Grandpa, George (Joan) Guyant; Uncle Bert and Aunt Jess Guyant. He is further survived by Melissa's parents, Deacon Tom and Lori Gritton and Melissa's brother and sister-in-law, Thomas Jr. and Mary Gritton. Brandon was preceded in death by his beloved Grandma, Patricia Guyant, and an unborn child that Brandon and Melissa lost through miscarriage.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2019, at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. A complete obituary can be found online at Kessler Funeral Home, Neenah.

I applaud your honesty about his death. That takes courage. And the problem will never get better if everyone is too afraid to talk about it. I hadn't seen or spoken to Brandon for years, but we were close friends in high school, and he was always there for me when I needed him. May he rest in peace.

May God grant you strength in knowing that Brandon's struggles are over and he is at peace. Sometimes one can do everything in their power to intervene and try to get their loved one help, but it is up to them to want the help and to get clean and sober. Thoughts and prayers at losing your son who could have had a great future. Thank you for putting the reason of Brandon's passing in his obituary as it may help just others in knowing what using could be a deadly outcome. Blessings ~~

Thank you for being so open about Brandon's death to opioids. While today your pain is so searing, it will lessen. It has been five years since my loved one's death to opioids. Reach out to others who have been through it, there are many of us who know what you feel.

You have my prayers. It is hard to think of anything positive or good at this time , but as I am a recovering heroin addict who has lost many friends from this devil of a drug... Try to have peace knowing that he no longer must fight this horrible addiction. He is in heaven and he is at peace. I will continue to pray for u all, along with the other addicts.
