AGAWAM – Richard F. Winn, 90, died Tuesday at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born and raised in Great Barrington and moved to the Springfield area in 1979. Richard retired from Cooper & Lybrand in 1991 and previously worked as a manager for Berkshire Armor Car Company. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was a member of the VFW Post 8348 in Great Barrington. He leaves his wife Patricia (Zaborowski) Cove; seven children Timothy and Matthew Winn, Paula Drozdal and Susan Stutzman, Jeffrey Cove, Susan Manser and Linda Gano; a brother Donald Winn; twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter Kathy Cove in 1993 and a brother William in 2004. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Tuesday at 9:00am with Liturgy in St. Thomas Church at 10:00am followed by entombment in Hillcrest Park Mausoleum. Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4:00 – 7:00pm.
