Hello Anna & Ashley, we're sending the strongest hugs!!! Alex, Addi, Michelle and I are so sad that Bill is no longer with us. Bill was without a doubt one of the kindest, most generous, happy-go-lucky people I have ever met. Being so far away, we probably shared about 20 days together over the years, but the list of things he did for us (or the laughs he'd create) could never fit in any written space. I'm thankful for all the stories he told and how intently he would listen to ours. I'll never forget that every goodbye felt so profound because he was someone that you wanted to have close by, like a favourite uncle! Please find strength knowing that he wouldn't want to you to be anything other than happy, finding joy wherever it can be found in the days going forward. We will always love and remember Bill, we love you, and look forward to seeing you soon.

Bill was an amazing man, husband and Dad. When we visited (twice), he would go out of his way to make us feel at home. There wasn’t anything that he wouldn’t do. Bill did like surprising us with a box of donuts for breakfast occasionally. He will be missed. RIP Bill, gone too soon.

Ashley and I are so deeply saddened by the sudden death of Bill. He loved his family and friends. Bill would stop and talk to anyone, always offering advice or just sharing a friendly hello. We were married for 37 years and I can honestly say there was hardly ever a dull moment. His pride and joy was our daughter Ashley. He was a loving father who taught her how to fish, ride a bike, camp, coached her in little league and also softball in junior high and all about cars. They had spent the last year restoring her Honda Element together and attending Element meet-ups. He always shared her latest real estate listing information with family and friends, always boasting about her accomplishments. Anyone who knew Bill always knew that he would stop and help you if you needed something. If you needed your car towed, something heavy moved or to borrow one of his million tools, he was there to help. We started our business 40 years ago and we both worked hard to get it started and keep it going. Bill stopped working in the field over 20 years ago and started working in the office because it was safer, but he loved jumping in the truck to pick up and deliver cars when it was needed. Covid forced our office to close for several months and Bill got a taste of what being retired was like. It was then that he decided he could not retire full time because he got bored but slowed down and started working part time and enjoying spending time at home. We miss him so much but find comfort in knowing that the life we shared was wonderful, crazy, a little hectic and full of ups and downs. We thank all our family and friends that supported us during this difficult time by coming by the house to check on us, texting us, crying with us, bringing us meals, flowers, plants, gifts, cards and for visiting Bill while he was in the hospital. I know he knew you were there and I am sure he was so gIad that you took the time to visit him. It means the world to us to know that you cared about Bill and loved him! And Bill would be so happy knowing that we were cared for and looked after by all of you when he could not. We have not set a date for his Memorial yet, but will notify everyone when a date has been set. God Bless, Anna and Ashley Howie.

Bill started golfing with his best buds, after more then a year. He always said that he very much looked forward to Wednesday Golf. With Bill back, we sure had some fine times. Not enough, but it looks like they'll have to do.
What a great friend.
