Carolyn Lavon Addey (Age 66)
On Tuesday, August 14, 2018, of Germantown, MD. Beloved wife of the late Patrick Addey; mother of Daryl Thomas; grandmother of Little Daryl, Shaymeon and Shifon; sister of Darlene, Kevin, Francis, Valerie and Larry. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. You were one of my dearest and most special friends. You understood me better than most. You were loving, gentle and nonjudmental. Bah also considered you a great person. You are in my thoughts and prayers -- I worked with you at the OPO for many years, just not in the same office. Then NEH moved over to the CC. And there you were -- two spaces/cubicles behind me in that wide open office! I can still hear you saying "Good Morning" or "Have a good evening," as you were coming in or leaving. I hear you laughing -- that wonderful laugh that made me smile. You were always so kind to others, even when you had your "own stuff" to deal with -- you would give a pat on the shoulder or a smile -- even a hug -- to someone needing a moment. Although I know your loving family and dear friends are already missing you so much, you are there at home with our heavenly Father. God wanted you closer to him. Deepest sympathies to your family. Peace to you dear Carolyn.
