Daniel Schellhorn Obituary
SCHELLHORN Daniel Teitjen Schellhorn On Tuesday April 22, 2008 at his residence in Washington, DC , Dan lost his battle to cancer. Born October 29, 1945 to Adam Joseph, and Anne Walton Schellhorn in New Jersey, he moved to Washington, D.C. in 1963. Dan had a long and vital history with the Metropolitan Community Church of Washington, D.C. and The Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches (UFMCC.) His commitments outside of MCC-DC include serving on the board of Directors for the Northwest Settlement House and Lancaster Theological Seminary, just to name a few. Dan leaves to mourn his passing, one brother, John, and three sisters, Deborah, Virginia and Mary, two special nephews, Joseph and David Luptak, as well as, other loving nieces, nephews and family members. Memorial services will be held on Saturday May 17 at 10:30 a.m. at The Metropolitan Community Church of Washington DC, 474 Ridge Street NW, Washington, DC 20001 (202-638-7373). In lieu of flowers, please send donations to: Lancaster Theological Seminary, 555 West James St., Lancaster, PA 17603.
