LOREN "GRIS" TALBOT GRISWOLD, 85, beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend and neighbor, died on December 30, 2025. He was born February 28, 1940 in Houston, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, Dean Griswold, mother Edna Mae Rose Badeaux, and stepfather Olin Badeaux. He was a proud Navy veteran serving 1959-1964 as a Mechanical Operator on the nuclear powered submarine, USS John Marshall. He is survived by the love of his life, Bobbe Gentry Griswold, after 65 years of marriage, and his son Justin (Amy), daughter Kelly, and one grandson Erik. Loren, who was known to all as Gris, grew up in Houston, Texas and attended Sam Houston High School, where he met Bobbe. They married in 1961 and later settled in the White Rock area of Dallas, Texas while operating their business, Grisco Bolt & Supply. They designed and built a home on their beautiful acreage in the Hill Country, retiring in the late 1990’s. Gris was known in the community as a giving and kind neighbor and friend, always offering a helping hand and a friendly chat. He volunteered on the local Water Board for several years. Whether he was designing architecture, engineering, mowing, or helping the community, he would do it with all his heart. He lived a wonderful life and is greatly loved and missed by all of us.
