Edward DenBoer

DENBOER - Edward M. DenBoer, aged 86, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2011, after a short illness and was ushered into the presence of his Lord and Savior. He is survived by his wife, Arlene (Haga). He will be lovingly remembered by his nephews and nieces, Marc (Linda) Stolk, Lynne Stolk, Janice (Jim) Heeren, Mike (Denise) Stolk, David (Kim) DenBoer, Douglas (Susan) DenBoer and Deborah (Dave Baker) DenBoer and extended families. Also surviving is his sister-in-law, Peggy Stolk. He also leaves behind his beloved four-legged "daughter", Molly. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, brother, David DenBoer, and brother-in-law, Mike Stolk. Ed proudly served his country in the Navy during WWII. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 22, at 11 a.m. at Third Reformed Church, 2060 Michigan Street NE. Friends may meet his family on Wednesday September 21, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Heritage Life Story Funeral Homes, Van Strien Creston Chapel, 1833 Plainfield Ave. NE and on Thursday, one hour prior to the service at church.
