Madeline Siewert Obituary
MADELINE SIEWERT
May 19, 1919 ~ October 7, 2011
Madeline, 92, a longtime resident of Hazel Dell, WA, peacefully passed away on Friday. She was born in Gladstone, OR to Jay and Lilly Belle (Benton) Hoyt and had outlived her four sisters and two brothers.
Madeline took pride in being a homemaker and farmer raising three children, Robert (Sandy) Siewert, Neomi (Byron) Hegstad and Larry (Marye Jo) Siewert; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Bob Siewert, who passed away in 1991.
Madeline was a longtime member of Supreme Emblem Club and Salmon Creek United Methodist Church where there will be a celebration of her life in the Pioneer Chapel on Sat., Oct. 15, 2011 at 11:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Salmon Creek United Methodist Church for children's ministries.

I remember the Siewert family well. They were friends of my parents', Dan and Marion Garvey. I remember, as a child, visiting Bob and Madeline's beautiful home. I also remember spending a New Year's Eve there. My dad, being the character he was, played "Baby New Year". Madeline lived a good long life, and was well loved by her family and friends. According to her photo, she really didn't change much in looks at all. You're in my thoughts today. Maridee Garvey

When I think of Mrs. Siewert, I remember her watching me while my mom worked....she always had strawberry Nestle Quik - yum! And I remember the pond in the front yard. And the pump organ. I drive by the old house every time I visit my dad. She was a nice lady with a twinkly smile and I pray your hearts will find comfort at this time.
