Robert Springer Obituary
Robert "Bob" Springer, age 83, resident of Gladwin/Bad Axe and formerly of Flint and Bonita Springs, Florida passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013 at St. Mary's of Michigan in Saginaw. He was born January 30, 1930 in Keego Harbor, Michigan to the late Alvie and Louise (Holden) Springer. Robert was
united in marriage to Angeline Bischer Schroth on August 1, 1980. He graduated from Flint Central High School. Bob was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe. He was employed with General Motors as a maintenance supervisor at the Chevrolet Flint Manufacturing Plant in Flint for 28 years. He was a member of the Flint Rock and Gem Club, Gladwin Eagles Club, a member of the Masonic in Flint and Moose Lodge in Bonita Springs, FL. Robert is survived by his wife, Angeline; children, Randy (Carrie) Springer of Gland Blanc, Dennis (Diane) Springer of Swartz Creek, Melvin (Jayne) Springer of Fenton, Calvin (Mary) Springer of Swartz Creek, Carol (Dan) McCleod of Otisville, Larry (Gail) Schroth
of Westland, Joan (Tom) Tucker of Stockbridge, Adam (Heidi) Schroth of Canton, Dennis (Peggy) Schroth of Fenton and Jeff (Laura) Schroth of Wixom; grandchildren, Matthew (Sarah), Kristin, Derek (Samantha), Justin, Melissa, Rebecca (Tom), Larry (Kelly), Brian, Brandon (Lisa), Kelsey, Adam, Kaitlyn, Tom (Jennie), Jeffrey, Laura (Peter), Sarah (Adam), Lynn (Craig) Debbie (Ankit); eight great-grandchildren; his sister, Dorothy (Ron) Hutchinson of Flushing and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Viola Hansen Springer; a daughter, Debbie Schroth and grandchildren, Michael Springer and Nathan McCleod. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at
Sacred Heart Catholic Church
in Bad Axe with burial on Thursday at Flint Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 23, 2013 from 2:00 - 8:00 pm with scripture services at 7:00 pm at MacAlpine Funeral Home, Bad Axe and Wednesday from 10:00 am until time of service at the church. Memorials may be offered to a charitable fund at the family's discretion. Condolences may be shared at
