FRANCES HARRELL Obituary

Frances Almina Harrell, 91, of Colonial Heights, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015. She was born January 6, 1924, in Pilot Point, Texas, to the late Chess and Beulah Davis and was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. "Slim" Harrell; four sisters, Ruby, Audrey, Mary, Leslie; and three brothers, Robert, Woodrow and William, all of Texas. Mrs. Harrell retired from Fort Lee and in her retirement she managed the Associated Beauty Supply in Petersburg, Virginia.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Mike Forrester of Colonial Heights; one grandson, Ashleigh Moody of Richmond; a special niece, Barbara Depew of Dallas, Texas; and nieces, Martha, Alice, Sharon, and Diane, all of Texas. The family would like to thank the caring staff at Brighter Living for the care and support of Mrs. Harrell.

Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association-Great Richmond Chapter, 4600 Cox Road, Suite 130, Glen Allen, Virginia 23060. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.
