Sandra Irene Harper Huffman, 78, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Saturday, January 17, 2026 in Wayne, Michigan.
Sandra was born on May 22, 1947 to Walter Earl Harper and Hazel Osborne in Detroit, Michigan. Sandra loved to explore new places and moved around the country frequently with her late husband before finally settling down close to her family in Michigan. She relished the days when she would read Harry Potter, watch The Land Before Time, and bake Christmas cookies with her grandchildren when they were young. Sandra loved going to church, playing solitaire on her iPad, and watching old movies. Her favorite snacks were Jordan almonds and peach rings.
Sandra is survived by her son Richard (Kathleen), grandchildren Stefanie Huffman (Ben Chuba), Zackery Huffman (Jesika), great-grandson Theo Huffman, her brother James Harper (Alice), her sister Paulette Tavares, and many nieces and nephews.
Sandra is proceeded in death by her husband Wayne Huffman, her son Scot Huffman, her parents Walter and Hazel Harper, her brother Dennis Harper, and her brother-in-law Leslie Tavares.
Sandra was a beacon of love and kindness and will be missed dearly by her friends and family. The family deeply appreciates thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
