I never had the pleasure of meeting Georgine, although I do know Kevin and I'm positive she was a very special lady. I know how special a person Kevin is and knowing her through his eyes, is all the proof I need.
My prayers are always with Kevin, as I know all too well the pain that never goes away.

Like so many others who have posted an entry, I also remember Georgine best from my childhood days on Water Street in Woodville, Ohio. Living on Water Street in those post WWII days was fun, sort of "Leave it to Beaver" like. The Portage River ran behind the Marisay house and for the neighborhood boys, including Bud and Kevin, it was the source of both fun and mischief, a perfect playground for the "cement tub" boat, hunting, exploring, ice scating and wandering. Often Georgine would be sent out to check on our escapades or to call in her brothers and send the rest of us home. As kids we ignored all property lines and the entire neighborhood, including the river and woods was our playground. I could go on and on with good memories. I do remember how quiet the Marisay house got when Georgine left for college. She was the center of the excitement and laughter in their home. God has blessed all who were privileged to know Georgine.

I keep waiting for Georgine to bring me coco puffs from Liliha Bakery or call me to come down the hall to do crafts or think of a new business venture or to go dumpster diving! She was never at a loss for a new idea. Her conversations usually started with... "What you should do is..." Gosh, so many good memories... and I thank her for that. I miss her terribly. Kevin has continued to be a dear, dear friend and I look forward to our visits.

Gigi was a childhood friend!!! What great memories I have of her and the Water Street Rats!!! We certainly carried those "escapades" into our adult lives. I was very lucky to have seen Gigi just three weeks before 9/11 when we both were in Las Vegas together. What fun we had. I will never forget when I opened the hotel door she screamed - "We've become our mothers"!!! We had a great dinner and spent most of the night just talking about our past and what was going on in our lives. It was apparent that we carried our fun times into our adult lives with our kids and their kids. She was truly a one of a kind person and the heaven's are full of laughter with her there. Enjoy the good memories of your daughter, sister, mother and grandmother (hard to believe we are grandparents)and friend..they are great memories to have and I know there will be more happy times in the heaven with Gigi there waiting for us to come join the fun.
Love,

My family lived a few doors down from Georgine's family on Water Street in Woodville, OH.Georgine was closer in age to my sister, Suzanne. It was later when I was an adult that I remember her. She was having a garage sale in preparation to moving. Her children where grown and she no longer needed the crib. I bought the crib even though I didn't have my first child until ten years later. My younger child also used the crib. I always thought it was a special connection as mothers. On that day I also bought an electric carving knife that was an extra wedding gift. Every Thanksgiving the family mentions Georgine. We will continue to do so. Some day maybe my grandchildren might rest in the crib too. My love goes to the entire family.

I don't what drew me to search the web this day. I all of a sudden felt to see what out-pouring of sympathy and rememberances of our friend and classmate Georgine. We had good times together, at her home on Water St. in Woodville, The Parties! I was on stage with Georgine during a martial arts demonstration for the high school students. Georgine had to "hip-toss" me and she lost her balance and fell on top of me! Those are the times I remember about Georgine.
Just to let you know, I leave a red rose on the bench our class donated every year on 11Sept. Knowing Georgine, she was right in there making sure everyone on that flight
was comforted and had a hand in attempting to thwart this evil. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Georgine, knowing you are in a better place with GOD. Your family, I'm sure, is very proud.
God Bless.

Yesterday was the one year mark of 9/11 and I wanted to do something to honor the people that fell victim to that day. I was able to do something I'll never forget and am so proud to share with you. I went to an event where people were able to pick a name(of a 9/11 victim), write, and wear that name on a red, white, and blue ribbon as we rode through the streets and freeways of Orange County,Ca.. I rode with my husband on our Harley-Davidson motorcycle with a huge American flag attached to the back and Georgine's name on my sleeve. This event probably brought together more than 500 people on a incredible motorcycle procession that made me instantly cry as we rode to our destination. I was proud to wear Georgine's name and honor her. I imagined her as being there with me and enjoying every minute of that beautiful procession, feeling the wind in my hair and feeling proud to be an American! I know that every person that saw us that day was affected and will never forget the lives that were lost on 9/11. Thank you for letting me honor the memory of Georgine Rose Corrigan- what a beautiful person, I will never forget her.

Dear family and friends of Georgine,
My sister-in-law honored me on my last birthday with a mercy band with Georgine's name on it. When I wear it, I carry her in my heart. I am honored to bear her name as I carry on with life. We all share a common pain of the surreal, horrific events of 9/11. I pray that the victims are at peace with God and that their survivors are given the strength to carry on. God bless you and God bless America. Sincerely, Kathy

We are deeply sorry for our nation's loss of Georgine. May her life and love live on in those who love her. May precious memories of times shared with Georgine lighten the sorrow in your hearts. I believe God cried when He saw the evil that took the lives of His innocent children before their time. In the shadows of the darkness they cried out His name. They found shelter and protection from human pain as He lovingly pulled them into His embrace. Cradled in His arms earthly cries became heavenly songs as angels were born. Our hearts cry deeply with you in America's loss of a hero.
America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
