It's been 17yrs now... We remember Doña Gloria always. A great friend of the family I remember her as a little girl when I vacationed in El Salvador eating at her restaurant El Peperrin and I will always remember her leaving our home to Boston her plans to come back and return to El Salvador. Goodness in people is rewarded with blessings. My sister in law Gloria was blessed by being called into heaven sooner than expected. We thank the Lord for the time we were allowed to spend with her; we enjoyed her laughter, optimism thru challenging times and her desire to keep the family together against adversity. En apreciación y agradecimiento a todos ustedes que de una u otra forma recuerdan a nuestra hermana, escribo esta líneas y me pregunto ¿hemos aprendido la lección? Con triste amargura les respondo con un rotundo no.- Como en aquella mañana 11 de septiembre, en este mismo instante, como perdió la vida nuestra querida Ana Gloria en el vuelo 175 de United Air Line, con otros pasajero y miles más en los edificios del world Trade Center; siguen más vidas de inocentes perdiéndose al rededor del mundo. Los seres humanos no aprendemos la lección. Por eso hoy en su memoria los invito a cada uno, como mi hermana enseñaba: a ser mejor familia, mejor amigo y mejores ciudadanos del mundo. Por un mejor mañana, Dios bendiga la humanidad.
In appreciation and gratitude to all of you that in one way or another remember our dear sister, I write these lines and ask myself. Have we learned the lesson? I reply you with sad bitterness and with an absolute no. as in that morning of September 11, in this very moment, as our dear Ana Gloria lost her live in United Air Line fly 175, with some other passenger and thousands more in the World Trade Center buildings. Hi I need your help you see I'm trying to make sure every family that lost a love one receive a homemade quilt. When I seen what happen I knew I had to do something so as I was crying and praying the Lord answered my prayers by telling me to make quilts for everyone. Not a very easy task especially when I really don't know where to start. I started making quilts and soon ask my friends and everyone in our wonderful country to help. Soon I had 1554 quilts ready to go. We took them to New York and hand deliver them to Pier 94 where the families wereon Dec 16,17, and 18. I know my job isn't done and I have to continue so I came across a list of all the victim and decided to see if maybe there friends or families could help me try and bring some comforter to the parents or spouse.
