Im sorry you faced such a scary plight because of radicalized men.
Why did they have to take you away from us?? Its so hard to think about how the rest of your life wouldve played out if 9/11 never happened. RIP, Robin.

My precious friend Robin Kaplan. God gave me a gift of knowing Robin. I worked with her for years at a group home for the mentally challenged. She never had an unkind word to say about anyone. Our friendship grew and it was full of laughter and fun. I drove the van and on Saturdays we would take the clients on a mystery ride. She was the best worker and sweetest to all the clients. She had much to teach me even tho I was so much older than she. There was one client that was inclined to get physical and she was whispering to him. I came closer because she was no bigger than a whisper herself. He actually did what she asked of him. This was highly unusual. A lot of staff would raise their voice to him. I would ask them not to do that. I asked her how did she know to do that and she said, I don't really know, I just thought of it. It worked!! We all would whisper to him after that and he would do as asked. God Bless you my sweet friend. I miss you. Our loss is God's gain.

It was Sept 13, 2001 when my 5 year old son asked "why are there so many flags everywhere?" I replied "They're to remember all the people who died on Sept 11th when the bad men crashed the planes into the buildings." He looked at me and said "Wasn't your friend on one of those planes? we should hang up a flag for her." To this day, that flag is always referred to as Robin's flag.

I only found out about Robin in the last five years. I knew Robin in both middle school and high school and she was always so easy going and friendly. An anniversary hasn't passed that I am not profoundly saddened by what happened. With the 10th anniversary approaching I had my kids' school write letters to the police and fire in our town to thank them for all they do for us. I will deliver them on Sunday the 11th in honor of Robin. I will remember Robin always and hope that her family can find peace in knowing that she was loved by and touched many people in her much too short life.

Well, here it is exactly one year later and I discovered I knew someone who lost their life on 9/11. I saw Robin's picture on the news this evening and was shocked! I have been grieving the losses of people who I don't even know, and now the pain is so close to home. I lived in 10-1 in Chandler Village at Worcester State College with Robin. She was a lot of fun and laughs. Robin always had a smile on her face. She was a great housemate. We had good times together. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. My deepest condolences. I am sure she is truly missed by many! We will never forget 9/11 or her. God Bless You!!!

I work for TJX. I talked to Robin for over a month daily on the phone
during our stores upgrade. Even though I did not personally meet her I felt I knew her. Exspecially seeing our names our so close. She was a very friendly and helpful person. For the last 2weeks I have been thinking of her often. Their has been alot of register and computor problems which was her speciality. we finally got the problems settled Sept 10. I think Robin helped in that from above I think she is still watching over all of us. Her family and her Family at TJMaxx. To all her families I hope that some day the pain will ease.

My name is Landis and I am a sophomore at Elon University in NC. My college decided to let students and faculty and anybody else make little bracelets with someone's name on it that died in the Sept. 11th attacks and we wear them all week long. I came across Robin's name and decided that her spirit was the one that I wanted to represent for this week. I never knew of Robin until today but I'm sure that she was a wonderful person with lots of life left in her to live. My condolences go out to the family and friends of Robin Kaplan.

I met Robin as a very innocent freshman at Worcester State. She was the most illuminent person Ive ever met. Her smile was precious. If there was anything that Ive ever learned from life it was to be whole, to be straight-forward, and most of all, to look at everyone with open eyes, and to embrace. From my time I new her, Robin taught this city-street kid this one thing.
May 15th is her birthday, and where ever I was at that time, I toasted you Robin, and that will never change.
I will always adore and miss you my friend.

Hi,
I went to high school with Robin ( a year ahead) but didn't know her until get togethers during college breaks.
I have no clear memory, but an overall feeling of goodness, of her smiling when we would speak.
When I heard of her passing, I felt a true loss for one of the good ones had senselessly been taken.
My wishes and thoughts are with your family.

The Kaplan Family
I didn't know Robin very well. I knew her through a cousin who was very good friends with her and worked with her but when i came to the office and she was there she was very pleasant and always had a smile on her face. She was infactuated with my son and loved it when he came to visit her. She used to have a picture of him up on her computer. He was about 4 or 5 when she last saw him but she used to say "here's my boyfriend" and all the office people got a kick out of it. He was saddened by her death and he wishes that he got a chance to say good-bye. But I told him he would see her again someday. I just wanted to sign this book for him and to tell you that Robin will be in our prayers and God Bless the Kaplan family and our deepest sympathy's to you and your family.

Dear Kaplan Family,
As the anniversary of the tragic events that took the life of your daughter approaches, I pray for peace in your family as I know that is what your wonderful daughter would've wanted.
I had the pleasure of attending Worcester State College with Robin and remember her fondly with a big smile on her face all of the time - people were just drawn to her. She was always very positive and I'm sure that quality is what helped her beat Crone's Disease.
My thoughts and prayers are with you Kaplan family ! God Bless all of you and God Bless America !!

Robin,
You and I never knew each other personally. It has been nearly a year since that day you and over 3,000 others were taken from us. However, I just recently came across your story and, in seeing your picture, I felt there was something familiar about you, like perhaps we had run into each other briefly at one time. This is possible as we lived only one town apart (Hopkinton). As I read about you and read the comments from your family and friends, it was like feeling that I lost a friend. I noticed a lot of similarities in our lives, such as interests in sports and music. My darling wife is a survivor of Crohn’s Disease and understood only too well the battles you must have faced and the obstacles you had to overcome in making your recovery. Your mother described you as what you see is what you get – that you didn’t put on any airs. I have always tried to surround myself with people like that in my life.
If there is anything I have learned since that day, it is to remember that life is precious, to be sure to value and treasure our friends and loved ones; to never take their presence for granted, to be thankful for having them in life. It is said that you never fully appreciate someone until they are gone. I guess that may be true. However, I get the feeling that your family truly treasured you, and your loss will only leave an emptiness that may never be filled.
To the Kaplan family, we know that no words we offer can relieve the pain and sorrow you have been put through this last year. However, as the anniversary of this tragedy approaches, please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. Robin, may you rest in peace and may God’s love be with you always.

Although it has been a few months since this horrible event but for some reason Robin's name seemed to stay in my head. Maybe it is because my sister lives in Westboro or because she was close to my age. Only recently I discovered in My CCFA newsletter that she was one of the many people who suffered from Crohn's disease. When I read about the donation in her name for the walk I didn't know what to say. I myself suffer from that illness and I could sympathize with her struggle to get to where you want to be career wise. It is so heartbreaking. I don't know, for some reason I felt somewhat connected to her. I'm so sorry that I did not get the pleasure of meeting her.
