I never meet the man and have only heard so much about him through a Facebook friend, his sister Lauren. I wish I had known Bobby as Lauren speaks highly of him and he sounds like a really good guy. Every 9/11 it just makes me so sad to know that the family has to relive the pain and agony of that day. I just want you to all know that although I had never meet Bobby I do understand what you might be going through and that I promise...I shall never ever forget.

CANTOR FITZGERALD, 1 WTC, 105th Floor, Bond Broker
Family and friend tributes copied below from Cantor Fitzgerald Memorial (http://www.cantorfamilies.com/cantor/jsp/tribute.jsp?ID=4113) page to Bobby Parks Jr.:
"At this moment, words cannot express the loss of my oldest son. Naturally, I both love and miss my son."
Mary Elizabeth Fitzhenry Parks, Mr. Parks' mother
"My brother Bob woke up every day, eager to work and endeavor. He loved the energy of NYC. He's a great all-around guy".
David, Bob Parks' brother
"My brother Bob had an unbelievable memory not only in work and school-related issues, but also for sports trivia. Through his many colleagues both on Wall Street and globally, tons of whom knew him rather well, they could ring him up and get the correct answer about whom it was who hit a homerun at any U.S. stadium, threw the winning touchdown, or even which horse and owner won any Triple Crown. And though his mind simply brimmed with facts about sports, he was also no education slouch. He perservered, studied and learned to follow -- since childhood -- everything he could possibly absorb about the crash of 1929 and the movement of the stock market to current."
Carol Parks Clancy, Bob Parks' sister
"Bobby was the quintessential of all that is good - a wonderful, gentle family man, a man of wisdom, virtue and faith. I could talk with him into infinity about anything on every given subject. He was always there for not only me, but his entire family especially his children Bridgette and Kevin Robert, always with his smiling and charismatic self style."
Elizabeth (Betsy) Parks, Bob Parks' sister
"My brother Bobby always encouraged me to stay focused. In fact, we both had begun new jobs at the same time last year. He always put his children, Bridgette and Kevin, first in life."
Lauren Fitzhenry Parks, His youngest sister
At age 47, Robert Emmett Parks, Jr., was the father of 2 teenagers. He was content to barbecue cheeseburgers on the pool deck of his home in Middletown South NJ. His enthusiasm for education and sports played out through his encouragement with his children.
His 16 year old daughter, Bridgette Parks, is a successful high school team swimmer as well as a summer lifeguard. Bob attended her swim meets and helped time her, train her, and cheer her on.
Bob was also very involved in the education and sports of his 14 year-old son, Kevin Robert Parks. He was a coach for Kevin's teams. He coached for the Middletown Youth Athletic Association for many years. Appropriately so, Bob was given an award for his parental involvement.
He was a communicant of St. Catherine's Church, Holmdel, NJ, where his family are parishioners.
Bob had been a personally successful golfer, belonging to Bamm Hollow Country Club. He himself had played varsity basketball and football at St. Peter's Preparatory School in Jersey City. And he went on to play sports in College and while attaining his Master Degree. He had been a NY Jets fan since their inception.
Followed in his footsteps, here is an update on Bobby Parks' Jr. successful children: Bridgette graduated Fordham Law and is employed as an attorney at an esteemed international, prestigious law firm while at the same time she is a member of the firm's Financial Institutions Group and Kevin is a financial executive at a world reknown brokerage firm while concurrently attaining his Masters in Finance at NYU Stern School of Business.

Mr. Parks, as he was known back then to me, being my teacher at the time, was one of the coolest teachers I ever had. I remember one day he took a fellow student and myself home one day in his little sports car. Most teachers at the time would not normally do this. The other student I mentioned before was my best friend. His name is Paul Nimbley and he also perished on Sept. 11. He worked for Cantor Fitzgerald. I miss him every day as you must miss Robert. I recall Robert was a big softball nut back then. I will say a prayer for him and your family. GOD BLESS YOU.

Holy Family Academy sent a card to Robert's mother and we have entered Robert Emmett Parks Jr.'s' name in our intention book. Actually, Sister ALice Boyle first mentioned Robert's name to us so we have been praying with you since then.
Betsy, Carol, David, Lauren and your Mom and all your family are in our prayers that you may know God's peace and consolation in what is an incredibly difficult situation.
We pray especially for your Mom through Mary's intercession - who else can plumb the depths of a mother's grief?!

There is so little I can do to help. I am grateful to be given the chance to memorialize a guy I liked from our first meeting and who I mourn and pray for.
I can only imagine how hard it is for your family.
To lose a special member like Bobby has to be unbearable.
However, given who he was, you know what he wants from you and your family.Life is so fragile and fleeting that we must make the best of every moment.
As hard as it is ,try to move on knowing what Bobby gave to you and your family, the eternal love which no evil can take from you...and which will never go away.
May God Bless you and everyone who misses Bobby
Peace

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Maureen, Bridgette & Kevin,
Bridgette, you have inherited your Dad's intelligence and desire to succeed. I know you will continue to make him proud.
Kevin, your sense of humor and athletic abilities are just like Bobby's. He's watching every game you play now.
Maureen, I hope your children continue to get you through these difficult times. I've been so proud of the way you've handled things since 9/11.
I pray for happiness for all of you and all the victims and their families of 9/11.
Love,
Aunt Patrice - Patrice Caserta, Sister-In-Law

May Robert (Bob) Emmet Parks, Jr. forever rest in God's loving arms and peace. Of course, we knew Bob just by his name and his love for sports that made him that illustrious and even made him more prominent when he perished during that fateful september 11, 2001. We constantly remember him in all our prayers. We pray, too, for his brave wife, Maureen and children - - Brigette and Kevin that they be blessed with continued healing and strength. May Bob forever rest in God's loving arms and peace. We never had the great privilege of meeting Bob, but have met his loving family subsequent to Sept.11th. Bob would be overwhelmingly proud of his beautiful, intelligent, and brave young adult children, Brigette and Kevin, whom we have met through the community of Red Bank Catholic. Bob's lovely wife, Maureen is an example to all for her bravery and upmost devotion to her children. We pray today that Maureen, Brigette, and Kevin be blessed with continued healing and strength.

Our deepest sympathies go out to you in remembrance of September 11, 2001. How shocked and saddened we were when the news arrived that Bobby was in the World Trade Center.
The memories we shared down First Street will always be special. His passion for the A's, Celtics, and Jets were insurpassable. When the A's win the 2004 World Series, I know Bobby will be leading the cheers from above!!!

I did not know Robert but I felt I needed to express my condolences to his family. My daughters class for the 1st anniversary of 9/11 was asked to look at the names of the 9/11 heros and comment. To her surprise Robert and I share both the same middle, last name and Jr. The name Emmett is not a very common name. Also I had an Uncle Robert who I never met. All I can say is Robert must have been a wonderful person who I wish I had the opportunity to get to know him. My sympathy and prayers go out to his family.

I would first like to express my condolence to the Parks family. I was a student of Mr Parks' Economics class last year and I just wanted to share a few memories to show Mr Parks' true love for both sports and everyone around him. I played varsity tennis for four years in high school and there was never a single person who cared more about my performance then Mr Parks. Everytime I walked into class the day after a match he'd always discuss the match and encourage me to keep up the winning streak. I also so him several times over the summer, and I because of him I will remember two things more than ever: Dunkin Donuts coffee and train rides to NYC. When I saw him in August, looking for a basketball net for his son, he told me with great enthusiasm that he got his job back in the city. He continued to tell me "You don't realize how much you miss the train ride to NYC everyday until you get to do it again." I just wanted to express, through a couple examples, the passion Mr Parks had in everything he did, and in everyone he knew. I, like my fellow classmates, will remember Mr Parks forever.

I worked with Bob for a brief time at Harris Trust Company of New York and always loved to talk sports with him. He was an upbeat guy who added life and laughter to our office.
I'd lost touch with Bob over the years but when I saw his name among those who died, many good memories were awakened and I smiled thinking of him.
His spirit and enjoyment of life are legacies that he leaves to all who knew him.
God bless him and his family. He will be missed.
