A Memorial Service will be held at a later date, yet to be determined. Jim wants it to be a time of celebration for his friends and family.
Jim began his education in the New York City public schools, graduating from Jamaica High School. He attended St. John's University, and graduated from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, TN. At CBU, Jim was a member of the varsity basketball team and a member of Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity.
Jim worked 30 years for Associated Spring Barnes Group, Inc. as an Account Manager, prior to retiring. He was a member of Cowan's Ford Golf Club and an avid golfer. Known as the "Czar" by his golfing buddies, Jim would organize annual golf trips to Myrtle Beach and weekend matches at the club.
Jim is survived by the love of his life, Deborah Cook-Gordon. Also surviving are many cousins in the New York City area.
Jim lived life to the fullest and was happiest when he was with Deborah or on the golf course with his buddies. "The road goes on forever and the party never ends".
