I have to say that I have great admiration for you. In reading about you and your family, no matter where you lived, you continued your education. I just find that very inspirational. And I didn't know that there is a University of Maryland in Germany.

I have been wearing a bracelet with Janice Scott's name on it since 9/11. I did not realize she and her family lived in Springfield, Va. I graduated from West Springfield H.S. in 1968. The bracelet I received was chosen by the company that produced the items. Every time I look at the bracelet, I am aware that we were neighbors. The connection touched my heart more than I realized. My prayers go out to her family. My heart aches for them.

I am thinking of you today, Janice, and often. You were my mentor and friend at the Pentagon, as I visited with you there to conduct our quarterly budget reviews. At my retirement you gave me a Pentagon mug, which I keep as a reminder of your warm and endearing personality and generous spirit. My heart aches for your family.

Hello Abraham,
This week we spent in D.C. visiting the Pentagon Memorial, where I was finally able to pay respects to Janice, at her memorial bench.
Again, please accept our condolences through song & prayer.
I can't tell you how often Larry & I think of you, lifting you & your family up to the Father.
Janice was obviously a wonderful person, mother & wife. Our hearts break when we think of your loss.
I also just read where you were at Fort Rucker for awhile, did you ever know SW3 Steven Speights, perhaps?
Steve was my cousin.
Please know we will NEVER FORGET Janice's life, service & sacrifice.
May God hold her in HIS loving arms, forever & keep you & your's in HIS tender care, until you meet again.

Although I did not know Mrs. Janice Scott personally, I've had the pleasure of working with her lovely sister Darlene. My condolence goes to the family of Mrs. Scott. Her legacy lives on. We should all take something from the life of this beautiful person. The work we do on earth will prepare us for our eternity. That's what all of us should be working for to reign in heaven with God. As we travel through this life let us make a difference and help others. God Bless.

I believe I was led to this site today to share the memory of Janice and those that lost their lives on September 11, 2001. A moment, a day in history we will never forget but know that time heals all wounds and with God all things are possible. Janice, through your Family- (Husband, Mother, Daughters, Sisters & New Grandbaby & Others family member I met.( Last year in Columbia SC, they put on a Gospel Event featuring Keith Wonderboy Johnson & others with proceeds going for College Scholarships, 2 were given to graduating seniors here in Columbia SC in memory of You (Janice Scott). Scott, your Husband spoke- telling everyone about the wonderful giving person you were. This reminds me of the song- Let The Works That I Done Speak For Me. I will continue to keep your family lifted in prayer and know that your memory lives on, even in people like myself that never physically meet you.

I did not have the pleasure of personally meeting Janice. However, I am honored to work with her sister Darlene every day. And through Darlene, we all feel as if we have come to know Janice. The tragedy of 9/11 took the lives of so many wonderful people..and that we cannot ever get back. However, it is comforting to know that, although gone from the physical world, these special people will live on forever by the stories told, and the memories kept. My heart goes out to Janice's family and I send many thoughts and prayers to you all as you begin the healing process.

To the family and friends of Janice Scott please accept my continued condolences for this terrible loss. I lost my mother recently in death so I know the heartbreak and sorrow death brings. The thing that comforts me during this period is knowing that there is a GOD who cares and he has promised to comfort all those who mourn by wiping out every tear from our eyes. (Revelation 21:3-5) Although I know this is a time for reflection and thought, please try and remember that you are not alone. There are people who care and we are praying to the Most High GOD and asking him to bless, comfort and support you and the famly now and in the days to come.
Respectfully yours,

I did not know Janice but have her name on my wrist daily. There is a lady in Albuquerque, NM that came up with the idea for bracelets baring the names of the victims of the events of Sept. 11, 2001. The bracelets are called Mercy B.A.N.D.s (Bearing Anothers Name Daily). I am reminded, on a daily basis and think, of Janice and her family and friends and keep them in my prayers.

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
