To the Edmond Young family,
22 years ago I had the honor of working with your loved one, Edmond, who was at that time 22 years of age. I as a senior Financial Manager within the Assistant Secretary of the Army, (Financial Management & Comptroller) in the Pentagon and Edmond had an office just inside our area in 2D43. I remember talking with him about his family and goals. His work ethic impressed me, which led us to have many conversations on his future plans. What I saw in him was a focused, caring, young African-American man pursuing a career with determination to succeed. I will always remember his big smile and his willingness to help out when and where needed . It was only the week before September 11, 2001 that I had brought him brownies - a treat I had perfected over time. He beamed with pride when talking of his family and son.
I hope his memory still shines brightly within your hearts and know that he made a difference in this world.
Sincerely,
Carol A. Campbell

Edmond G. Young - 9-11-14, I rode in motorcycle rally in DC that honored the victims of 9/11/01. I selected your name and then proudly posted it on my windshield so you could ride with me. Was able to search you name and read a little about your life and how you had died. You were taken away too young.
I posted on Facebook that I was riding in your honor and a mutual friend of ours Sue Hunter (Safeway co-worker) let me know that she knew you well. Small world!

Eddie,
It has been 8 very, very long years that you left us, but you are still so fresh on everyone's mind. I can't believe how fast the time has gone by. Stephan is doing great and my God how he looks like your twin. (Gap teeth and all) lol. Anyway I search for your face everyday, thinking I might see you walk by in a crowd or hurrying off somewhere, never knowing of your past life or who you left in it. But I snap back to reality and have to re-live the pain once again. Although I smile when I think of all the things we accomplished together, I can't help crying over the same. We miss you sooo much and sometimes I just don't know how to deal. I love you and I miss you and that is something that will never die. I Love You!!!

E you have left me with fond memories of you that will last as long as God allows. I remember you coming into the neighborhood to visit. That’s where we had meaningful conversations that enabled me to paint a portrait of the wonderful man you were. You always brought a warm and caring spirit that reverberated into everyone around you, including myself. Our defining interactions together confirmed that you are one of God’s children. You are with our Creator now. God thank you for E’s life, and E thanks for living it through. E you are immensely missed, and will be until we meet again. To the family, I offer my condolences. Ramona, I have not seen you in a while but I hope you are doing well. Stephan your father was a magnificent man and you shall be great too. God Bless

Hi Edmond,
My name is Angela and I am a junior at Windsor High School in Windsor, CT. For our civics class, we are reaserching a given name and decorating a bag that we are putting a candle in to create a " Walk of Light". I didn't really find a lot of information about you, but my prayers are with you and your family. Suprisingly enough, I can relate a little to your family, Ed. I lost my best friend of 5 years just 4 weeks ago to suicide. If you see her up there, tell her I said I miss her a lot. Hopefully you are happy wherever you are Edmond. God Bless.
Yours Truly,
Angela LaMay

We worked side by side at the Information Management Support Center (IMCEN). I am doubly blessed because I had the honor of working with Mr. Young and his sister. What an intelligent, polite and professional young man. A team player and gifted at sharing his knowledge. Working and learning with Mr. Young was a pleasure. Family, as your gift returns to the giver, may the celebration of his life leave a smile on your faces.
This young man was astonishing...

Edmond,
I will never forget working with you at Dept. of Education in Washington, DC. I was one of your Supervisors and I was amazed at how young you were and how much potential you had. Sometimes you drove me crazy, but you were a HARD worker and a talented young man. You were my Crystal Reports Guru!!!!
I think of you often and I have set up a small little "remembrance" niche in my house for you as we near the 1-year anniversary of 9-11.
I walked in honor of your memory at last year's Unity Walk around the Pentagon. You have left your mark on me, Mr. Young.
You touched a great many people, Edmond, and we all miss you dearly!!!
I will never forget you, Edmond Young.

Although it has been almost a year I still can't believe you are gone. I am reminded of you every day as I look at the pin that I have hanging in my car. You have given me the strength to go for my dreams and I will never forget your great personality and your jokes. Sometimes it's still hard to believe that your gone. I guess it's something that I will learn to accept more with time. I could think of millions of words to decribe you; kind, funny, caring, loving, truthful... I could go on and on. But I think the best word is WISE, wise beyond your years. I thank God for the time I was privilagd to know you and I thank you for the time I was HONORED to be called your FRIEND! We all will Miss you and Love you forever. Until that Brighter Day..... America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
