Nehamon, I thought of you and your family again today and the long years still ahead for them without you. You see, I lost my 52 year old daughter, mother of 4 boys two days after Christmas and feeling the pain of loss once again. Praying that your family feels the comfort that prayer brings from your loss and knowing that someday they will see you again in Heaven. I still pray for them and you often and include my own too. Holding you all still in my heart.

I am the cousin of Nehamon Lyons known by his family and friends as "PIC"... This has been a hard 10 years for our family, it still seem like that same awful day! I went to Nehamon gravesite on 911 and placed yellow roses on it I sat and talked with Nehamon for at least an hour or more. I really wish Pic was here with his family and friends we love and miss him so much! Some of you all never had the chance to meet Nehamon I would like to tell you all just a little about "Pic" Nehamon was an example on how to live life. He was humble, hard-working,gracious and loving. His life ended to short! But I do know that Nehamon did what he was put on earth to do and I know my cousin did not suffer GOD reached out on Sept 11,2001 and told Nehamon, job well done, come my son and rest. Nehamon was gone home before that plane hit the Pentagon..... So rest and peace and love Nehamon "Pic" Lyons..... GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTON!!!!!

Ten years ago, I bought a bracelet with Nehamon's name on it. It was a random choice, as my motivation was simply to honor a fallen military Hero, since my daughter had been recently retired from the Navy, and had been in and out of the Pentagon in the course of her job. That made it more personal for me. I never thought to look for his name on line, and until today, didn't know his first name. I still have my bracelet and when I look at it, I remember the sacrifice he and so many others made that day. God grant his family peace, and know that a 70 year old Texas grandmother thinks of him fondly, even though we never met.

In rememberance of Nehamon,
I only knew him a short time when he was stationed in VA Beach while I was attending Hampton University. He wasa very cool and laid back person. He mentioned a few times that he was being moved to DC. Very sad for this to happen to him while he was transitioning up there. RIP Nehamon.

This is OS1 Holt, the OS that OS2 replaced. It haunts me everyday to know that he was on duty that day and it very well could have been me. I am so sorry that any of that happened and i wish the family all my sympathy for his sacrifice. I haven't been able to right this in all these yrs until now, because of the nightmares. I thought this may help his family and me also. He was a very outstanding sailor and a great person. Thanks Nehamon!!!

Nehamon will always be remmbered by me as a good friend and classmate at Dollarway High School in Pine Bluff Arkansas. He died as a true hero and also a dedicated american soldier. For that I owe you and your family a debt of gratitude. Sorry I never really got the chance to tell you that in school. We just grow up and kinda fade away into our own life. Thanks for the good memories that we shared in school. By the way, I live in Iowa now and miss our fellow classmates.

Nick, your picture is on my bedroom wall at home, ever present. We talked the weekend before you left us. When I got that phone call the day after from Kevin, he asked me to email you to see if we would get a response. It seemed like an eternity before he called me back to let me know they had found you. Bruh, you were the sunshine that lighted our days sometimes. That smile, that laugh. Sorry, I did not get the chance to visit you like I said. You are missed and talked to daily. God's speed to you. May he bless you and keep you. To your family, Nick touched many lives that you did not know of and friends that you did not know. You are all in my prayers.

I am member of the United States Navy. I've have served faithfully for 16 years. You were my brother. I have thought about Sept. 11th over and over again for almost a year now. I was on the USS Enterprise, coming back from the Gulf on that day. All I could think about was returning to my family and friends, with no thought of anything else. You have shown me so much. There is more to life than a single moment in time. I want you to know that our ship and it's crew, turned around and went back to fight!! So much can happen in a single moment and you have tought me how to live each one of them. You are truly missed. God bless you and your family. I hope that we as Americans can heal together.

We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-

We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,

And when we are left speechless

to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
