Paul is with us every day. He lives in the hopes and aspirations we have in our grandchildren. They never met Paul, but they know him from the many memories which we continue to share with them. Today is the first day I will go to the WTC memorial. And I will think of Paul. Paul is someone I met as a legal recruiter. He told us about his wife and he was an absolutely lovely guy. We called him on a new job not long after he started at ESpeed. He was so happy there he felt he had found the right place and didn't want to look. We think of him every year, along with many others we knew at Cantor. I did not want to bother his family at that time. But now I think, maybe they would like to know what a nice guy he was, and though we did not know him well, we did know he was very happy where he was.

Paul, only 29 with a young family and you had to lose this life so so soon. Not knowing you but I think about you and the others who lost so much that day. You'd be in your early 40s and your young daughter would be almost 15. You'd be preparing her for college, boyfriends and eventually marriage. She's proud of you, I'm sure. God Bless you and your family.

Courtney, It has been 11 years today that the WT towers were hit by terrorists flying hi-jacked planes there by killing some of our greatest people in this United States. I just read about Paul and your family and I am sitting here crying since I feel closer to you and Paul now. I hope you have had some time by now to heal and are going on with your life with your wonderful children. Paul will never be forgotten. He is one of the nicest and happiest people we lost. God is watching out for you along with Paul and always will be. Love does not die, it goes on forever. We are all still praying for everyone lost on 9-11 and also for the people left behind. We will all be together again someday. Until then God Bless You and your family.

I want Paul's family to know that I think of him often. We were office mates at Dewey Ballantine during law school and worked a few doors down from each other when we started there full time. He was a very special person. He would speak about how lucky he was to have found Courtney so early in life and how much he loved his family. I wish you all the best.

I received Paul's name in a memorial on Sept. 11, 2011. I hung up the piece of paper that had his name on it on my bulletin board in my office. I was lost in thought today as I glanced at the board and I spied the piece of paper. I was compelled to search this sight out to see his picture, to know more. Some stranger half-way across the country remembers and is thinking of him on a random day in February and my heart goes out to his family and the lives of those his life touched and will continue to impact. He is not and will not be forgotten.

Another deeply painful 9/11 anniversary has passed and Paul's loss is as heart-rending as it was six years ago. He would be so proud of the way Courtney is raising Sarah and Paul. His memory is alive in their home. They are his legacy - what a wonderful way to keep him with us all.

I remember Paul from when we were editors on the school yearbook at Wayne Valley HS. Courtney was a senior and he was junior and I think they had just started dating. It was in the early bloom of their romance, and they both had a giddiness when they were together. My memory was hazy until I saw a magazine photo of Courtney and she had included a baseball cap of his in the picture. I smiled. One thing I remember, is that he always wore a cap, probably the fitted kind, with the brim curved in - sometimes hiding his eyes, but not his big smile, and how he bounded into a room with a big presence. He really was the guy all the profiles describe - a smart talented sporty guy who you couldn't help but like. When I learned of all he had gone on to achieve (Rutgers, Columbia Law, NY & NJ Bar, Cantor Fitzgerald) I was not at all surprised. It was nice to hear they had built such a wonderful life and family, and I was so saddened to hear of the loss.
My thoughts go out to Courtney and the children, and all the friends and family who must miss Paul deeply.
Sincerely,
Stacy Zayas

I enjoyed reading your legacy that your family left for you. A smile came to my face when I read about your baseball game. I use to play in an advanced league (of course I was the only girl) and I pulled that off as well while I was playing shortstop. Those are the memories, i am sure, that keep your family going.
