My friend was at the memorial this summer and took this random photo. Mr. Talhami's name is the only name I can clearly see. This photo is in my office in Georgia. I see his name every day and pray for his family every day. God Bless you all.

My name is Kitty.I went to Manhattanville College with Robert, and embroidered a denim jacket for him that had the planet Saturn in outer space.Robert had a great appreciation for artwork and followed the progress of his jacket and was very excited the day I finished it.He and I became friends through this project but all the artists loved Robert. He had a great appreciation for beauty and a smile that will stay with me forever.I am so sorry he is no longer around now,to laugh and spread his good humor an innovative ideas. He will be much missed.

I knew the Swami in london as a customer of tullets. He was definitely a character. I'm sure he's still sorely missed by his family and my thoughts are with them 10 years later.

We wanted to send our thoughts and prayers to Robert's family and other friends. Our families have known each other for years and have many fond memories. While he is at peace; hopefully memories can help give his family and friends some peace.

In memory....

DeDe - You may not remember me but I lived up the street from you in Sewickley on Thorn Street and was friends with Lynne. I am so very sorry to hear about the loss of your husband 5 years ago. I found this website by chance since I was actually looking for Lynne - our Sewickley Academy class reunion is soon and I was remembering my old friends during my many year at SA and from Sewickley. I googled Lynne's name to see what might come up. Again, I am so very sorry - please pass on my condolences to your family as well. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. I hppe you get this note.

I did not know Robert, but by chance I drew his name, I rode for him in our Patriot Parade to pay tribute to all those that lost their lives in the terrible tragedy of Sept. 11th.
There were 7,294 Motorcyclists honoring them.
After having read all of the prior tributes to Robert I am sure we could have been good friends, his family & friends were blessed to have him in their lives, if only for such a short time. May he continue to watch over you, & be a part of your lives forever. I have a wrist bracelet I wore during the Parade & for the following week.
If you would like to have it I can send it to you.
God Bless you all & keep you safe

I worked with Rob at Tulletts London options desk for four years and he was allways so upbeat having such a positive influence on those he worked with. When I spoke to him a while after I left the UK DeDe had just had their second son and I can still remember him telling me how great it was to be a Dad again.
He was a genuine warmhearted guy who loved life and the company of those around him.
God Bless Billy.

I also attended the same school as Robert and George Talhami in Caracas, Venezuela. We all went to CIC, along with my sister Soraya. He is also the second person I went to school employed by Cantor Fitzgerald. My heart sank when I found out. I was a very young girl when Robert was at CIC, but God I remember him as if I had seen him yesterday. He had a presence and an aura that very few have! My deepest condolences to his family. I am so sorry.

I am Robert's cousin and I miss him everyday although I rarely saw him. He lived with us in Delaware while he attended the University and always had a smile on his face. He made us laugh at his antics and was always conning us into something. I just miss his cheery face. I love you lots Rob..Diana

My condolences to the Talhami family. Just by chance and because I had some free time, I was scanning the pictures of the victims of 9-11 and saw Bob's picture. I graduated with Bob from CIC in Caracas. I am sure George remembers me. Now it is 2 good friends I lost at the Towers both worked at Cantor-Fitzgerald (the other friend was Charlie Murphy). I had not seen or heard from Bob or George since we graduated from high school but I hold them in high regards because of the many experiences we had together. God bless you all and God bless Rob's legacy.

Robert moved to NY. in 1990 and he became my roommate living on the upper east side of Manhattan. I can't tell you what a pleasure it was to have Robert light up a room when he walked in. Always with that positive attitude and genuine smile that will never be forgotten! After he moved to Tokyo, we lost touch for ten years until July 2001 where I bumped into him at Monmouth Beach near his beach house. I was so excited to see him and find out he'd be living just a few minutes from me. We spent a number of weekends together until that fateful day of 9/11 and we had a chance to catch up of our missed times together. He was extremely happy and at peace with himself just days before the tragedy. My heart and prayers go out to Dede so she may have the strength to care for those beautiful little boys!!

The world will miss Robert. We are so sorry for your loss. Our hearts cry with you.
America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn

My deepest sympathy to the Talhami family. My sisters and I grew up with Robert and George in Northbrook. We spent many days being typical rambunctious kids in our little neighborhood. My family and I have such fond memories of Robert - as he was always the thoughtful and studious good kid of our bunch! I ran into Robert and his lovely family last summer at Northbrook Court and was able to spend some time with him and George remembering the "old" days. I will keep a special place in my heart for Robert always. God Bless! Very Sincerely Yours, Carolyn Moody - Dixon

On behalf of my late mother, Mae Bandak, my late father, Albert Facusse, my sister Denise Facusse, my husband Eddie Neuwirth and myself, I would like to extend my deepest sympathy and condolences to the family of my cousin, Robert Talhami, his friends and all those whose lives he touched. Since Robert had just moved here to work for Cantor Fitzgerald we didn't have the opportunity to get to know him better but he lives in our hearts forever. With love, your cousin, Vivian.
