I miss you so much my dear cousin... I know that where ever you are God is with you. I'll always remember you. :'(

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I grew up with Sandra in Corona, I lived on 54th and she lived on 53rd. We hung out most times. I have a vivid memory of her. I just found out yesterday of her loss and I am devistated. I am in shock. Please accept my deepest condolences to Albertina and Ingrid on the loss of a very special woman.
I wish that I was aware sooner. She was there for me when I went to boot camp.
I am a United States Marine and fought in Iraq in 2003, I fought for her.......

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

"TO ME SHE WILL ALWAYS BE JUST "SANDRA" THE MOST SWEETEST PERSON, THE MOST CARING, WHO WOULD NEVER FORGET YOUR BIRTHDAY EVEN IF SHE HASN'T HAD CONTACT W/YOU IN MONTHS. THATS THE KIND OF PERSON SHE WAS. THE ONE EVERYONE WAS SO PROUD OF BECAUSE SHE SET SUCH HIGH GOALS FOR HERSELF AND ACCOMPLISHED THEM SO GRACEFULLY, SHE NEVER ACTED LIKE SHE WAS ABOVE ANYONE, ON THE CONTRARY, SHE WOULD MAKE IT A GOAL TO HELP ANYBODY WHO WANTED IT. SHE WAS MY COUSIN AND I SAY THAT WITH TEARS IN MY EYES BECAUSE EVEN AFTER ALL THESE YEARS, I STILL HURT SO BAD FOR HER; OUR LOSS AS A FAMILY. I PROMISE TO CELEBRATE YOU EVERYDAY SANDRA AND WHAT I REALLY WANT TO SAY IS THANK YOU FOR NEVER FORGETTING MY BIRTHDAY"

In loving memory of my sister Digna. I love and miss you so much. It's unbearable to know your gone, but I know you're with the lord. You were my little sister, but you acted like my big sister and I thank you for your support. I will miss that great smile and those cute dimples. Love you forever, Ingrid.

On the morning of the 11th the company I work for had a memorial service at the memorial site they dedicated to those who lost their lives 1 year ago. We were all given a badge bearing one of those names. I received Digna's. I found her picture and now have it posted in my office with the badge so not a day will go by that she isn't remembered. My deepest thoughts and prayers go out to her husband and family.

I miss you dearly and miss having an excuse to go downtown. Thank you for being my mentor and keeping my head up when it was down. By the way, save a cloud for me & Paulie near yours so that when we arrive to heaven we'll be near you. Always & Forever. Ilene

America Cries

We see your sorrow-

and our hearts cry....

We can not erase your pain

but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-

-the American people-

are beside you.

We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,

the strength that gives you courage,

and the words to lighten your spirits.

And when we are left speechless

may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts

to ease your sorrow.

May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-

-the American people-

face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
