I lived in Tulsa when this tragedy happened and was friends with Peter Decola from church. I was grieved to hear his brother (maybe even twin) died in the towers. I never looked up his brother until now. My deepest condolences to the family and prayers.

I think of you, and your family especially during the first two weeks of September every year. I was only 19, which now seems a lifetime ago. Yet that day is as fresh in my mind today, like it was only yesterday. You will never be forgotten. You have inspired me to live life to the full, your death was not in vein. Rest In Peace Paul.

We visited the 9/11 memorial I made a random photo of a name, a name to find the person. To give a face, some one to think of a a representative of all those who lost their life. I took a photo of your name. A man I never met, and will never forget.

Death, be not proud
Death, be not proud, though some have called thee
Mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so;
For those whom thou think'st thou dost overthrow
Die not, poor Death, nor yet canst thou kill me.
From rest and sleep, which but thy pictures be,
Much pleasure; then from thee much more must flow,
And soonest our best men with thee do go,
Rest of their bones, and soul's delivery.
Thou art slave to fate, chance, kings, and desperate men,
And dost with poison, war, and sickness dwell,
And poppy or charms can make us sleep as well
And better than thy stroke; why swell'st thou then?
One short sleep past, we wake eternally
And death shall be no more; Death, thou shalt die.

On the second anniversary of September 11 we had a memorial in Lubbock of 3,412 flags, each representing a victim of the attacks. On Septmeber 14, my son and I took home one of the flags and a certificate with the name of the person the flag represented. We were given Paul's name and would like his friends and family to know they will always have a special place in our hearts.

Virginia and Peter -- our prayers go out to you both. My mother, Sharon, and Paul were first cousins, and this picture is from my grandfather, Jack's, 65th birthday party many years ago. We really enjoyed the times we spent with Uncle Peter, Aunt Nelly, Peter and, of course, Paulie. Love from our hearts -- Sharon DeCola Sepe, Randy Sepe, Jr. and Chrissi Sepe

a blue spruce has been planted in the El Dorado Springs National Park, colorado, in memory of Paul DeCola. i picked paul's name and planted a blue spruce inside the park next to the river that passes through the beautiful canyon. i chose this site because i can care for the tree and watch it grow. although i do not know Paul DeCola, my heart goes out to his family. my thoughts and prayers are with you. may the peace, love, and care with which this tree was planted embrace you and live on in your heart for ever.

Paul - Everyday I think about you bro, we were childhood friends, at least since 1979.... You spent lots of time at my house with my Brother Willie and Mom...as I did with you and your family... I miss you man and am always reminded of you when the news focuses on the Twin Towers... My heart goes out to Peter & Gina... I feel bad that the last time we saw each other was at your Mothers wake.. You were one of my Best Friends...

to find this site came as a surprise to me. I don't always go online a lot, Paul was always the one into computers. I loved him and miss him as does our son. Please continue to pray for us especially Peter daniel (18) as he has been having a very tough time dealing with the loss of his father. My thanks to all who have prayed for us as we can use all the prayers we can get. Thanks to all and may God bless you for your kindness.
His wife, Gina DeCola.

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
