Mary DeCola, 90, of Columbus was called to heaven after a brief illness on December 25, 2025. Born and raised in Columbus, preceded in death by son Matthew Mosbacher III, brother Joseph DeCola and sister Nancy DeCola. Survived by daughter Michele Hoepfner (Theodore) and granddaughters Miriam Loesch (Timothy) and Kathryn Hoepfner, great-grandchildren Julia and Theodore Loesch.
Mary grew up in Columbus and graduated from North High School in 1953. She enjoyed a long career in accounting and retired from the State of Ohio in 2009. After retirement, she maintained her home and enjoyed caring for and sharing her swimming pool with family and friends and was an avid fan of Ohio State football.
