Leala Marie Barry

Leala "Lu Lu" M. Barry, age 62 of Columbus, Ohio passed away on March 11, 2026. Lu Lu was born on February 16, 1964 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Fred and Janet Barry.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Regina (Arthur) Wilhoite, and best friend, Darlene Gaines.

She is lovingly survived by her sister, Sharon Jordan, brothers, Don (Andrea) Townsend, Bill (Rhonda) Barry, special nieces, Chrissy (John) Danflous, Nikki (Michael) McKenzie, Gina (Chad) Muth, great-nieces and great-nephew, Jordan Danflous, Abbi (Adrianna) Brewer, Dean Danflous, many other nieces and nephews, and of course, her group of crazy ladies, Camille Caldwell, MerryLea Goodrich, Janet Kassoff, Vickey Meyer and Maryann Montgomery.

The Huston Family has also played a big part of Lu Lu's life for many years. Several times they told her how lucky they were to have her, but she thought she was the lucky one!

She worked at Rising Star for over 35 years where she traveled and made many friends throughout the country. She was a fan of Ohio State football, and also a Secretary for The Earle Bruce Quarterback Club for over 20 years. She also enjoyed Auto Racing through the years, where she also made numerous friends.

She will be deeply missed.

A visitation will take place on Monday, March 16, 2026 at Newcomer NW Chapel, 10051 Brewster Lane Powell, Ohio 43065 from 6pm - 8pm.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a future date.
