Patricia Colodner Obituary

Family Costume Night
Patricia Colodner's world was shaped by her parents' divorce when she was just 2. So when she got married in 1990, she was determined to be the best parent she could be and offer "complete, unconditional devotion" to her family, recalled her husband, Warren.

The Colodners have two children, a 9- year-old girl and a 2-year-old boy. Mrs. Colodner, 39, who was a secretary at Marsh & McLennan, was an organized, outgoing person who created a nurturing atmosphere for the children filled with music, laughter, bicycle rides and excursions ‹ to parks, museums, zoos, parades. She was particularly fond of Halloween, because she got to dress up with the children, and was partial to vampire get-ups; her daughter preferred the princess look.

This year, the children are still going to go trick-or-treating, but with their dad, who plans to wear a costume, too, so that he can carry on his wife's legacy. Before Sept. 11, the boy planned to dress up as a pumpkin. Now he wants to be a fireman, he says, because he wants to save his mommy.

May the angels of god bless and look over your husband and children. I knew you when you were a waitress at the lounge in the Vista International Hotel. What I remember the most was how happy you always was and made it a point to make everyone around you happy. It was a pleasure knowing you and am so sorry we lost contact. God bless you in heaven.

Patti,
I am so sorry we lost touch so many years ago and I just today learned what happened. I will always remember how wonderful you always were. You were a stunner in person which is what made it that much more amazing that who you were was even more beautiful. I'm so sorry for your family, especially for your babies who I'm sure miss you every day. May God bless you and all who you touched, and may he make it easier each day that passes, although I can't imagine how. Hey, maybe you and Fred have run into each other in heaven -- tell him I said hi!

My dearest Patti, I have searched so long and now I have found you. Growing up in Honolulu together we had so much fun during our teen years. Even tho we lost contact with eachother, We want you to know how proud we (Kim Pinensky & I) are of you. It was an honor to be your friend. We will never forget you, and may God bless you and your Family. Until we meet again, Aloha.

So hard to believe 1 year has gone by, it seems like yesterday that I received the horrific news. I think of you daily, wondering how Warren and the children are coping.

I recall our last "catchup" lunch at Maritime. You were laughing, your face radiant, talking about the children, running to meet Warren after lunch. A wonderful memory, I treasure it.

Until we meet again my dear friend, I am thinking of you with love and prayers. And always with a smile.

I met Patti through Roger & Joanne (Wm Mercer Co) She was always so very helpful to me with directions etc. for New York City.

She was a fun loving Lady. I remember so very clearly on one visit to Roger's office we were having such a good laugh, and in pops Patti exclaming that "there was much too much frivolity going on in here" and with a chuckle herself off she went.

My heart is so heavy for her loss, and to her family My Deepest Sympathy. May God comfort you.

My prayers for Patti and all those who gave of their lives to these hateful people.

May the "Beams of Rememberance" never dim.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

I only knew Patti through Joanne & Roger (Wm Mercer Co). She would help me get tickets to Broadway plays and offer information on sightseeing when I was in NYC. Although I only met her once (April 2000) I'm glad our paths crossed. My sympathy goes out to all the victims but especially to the Colodner family. The nation feels your pain and we will never forget.

Thank you for sharing Patricia's story with us and especially heart touching was the comments of her son wanting to be a fireman. May Patricia's life and love live on in those who love her. May you feel the warmth of her love radiate love into your hearts. Our hearts cry with you in your loss of Patricia.

America Cries

We see your sorrow-

and our hearts cry....

We can not erase your pain

but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-

-the American people-

are beside you.

We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,

the strength that gives you courage,

and the words to lighten your spirits.

And when we are left speechless

may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts

to ease your sorrow.

May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-

-the American people-

face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
