When I was a little kid David was my best friend and Alan seemed so much older and bigger. I spent many days at the Colodner's. One time there was an old car in the yard and David and I were looking at the engine while Alan held up the hood. When he dropped the hood I forgot to move my fingers and they got slammed. I ran into the house holding my fingers, afraid to look because I was sure they were gone. Mom Sandy was so sweet and ensured me it was ok to look they were still there, just a bit dented and bloody. I adored the Colodners. So sorry for your loss.

Alan used to come over to play when we were just 3 years old. He also had a pony and used to ride the neighborhood with his horse. Tons of memories. Heart broken.

Alan always had his hands in everything. Once you met him, he left an everlasting Impression. He loved helping kids. Alan was in charge of the hiring and training of umpires for East Fishkill Little league. Every year he would join us on a golfing trip to Hanah. He told me he sucked at golf, but enjoyed being part of a 20 plus year tradition. My last memory was teaming up with him to play golf. He also loved music. (Alman Brothers) We spent a night at the Falcon watching the Brother and Sisters band. We called each other the next day and raved about the good we had. I will miss him.

I am truly sadden of the sudden passing of my friend and colleague Alan. For the past 20 years, I had the privilege to known him. Alan was funny, genuine, and vibrant. I remember all the good time like it was yesterday. Alan left a print where ever he went. There were times when we didn't speak for months, but when we did talk , whether it was just to say hi, or (me) asking for advice our conversations would pick up right where we left off the last time. I will forever miss you Alan. My condolence goes out to the Colodner Family.

I had the fortunate pleasure of working with Alan for the past four years at VMS. We worked together but from opposite coasts. He always had a way of lifting everyone's spirits with his jovial laugh and wonderful sports stories. He was kind and helpful and always checked in to see how everyone was doing. I will truly miss this wonderful man. My sincerest condolences to Susan and the extended Colodner family.

My sincerest condolences to Susan , Michael, David, Alan's mother and the children. Alan you will always be a dear friend, from Middle school through High School, and Geneseo State , many days of soccer , swimming in your pools, sleigh rides in Pearl River behind your horse, to sharing the joys of raising our children. You brought great joy to my life as well as so many others. Your prank phone calls at work pretending to be a NY Jet. Taking me to Vinnie Testeverde come back once again for a Jets victory followed by a Yankees victory against the Angels, the day after our High School Reunion. You will always be a friend and in my fondest memories. I pray the dear Lord will allow me into heaven someday, so we can enjoy a few laughs together once again.

I have worked with Alan at multiple companies over the past 40 years and most recently at VMS/Retirement Revolution. He had an amazing way with people whether we were visiting a client/partner or he was interacting with my department and our internal staff. Sometimes he was a bear, a true Teddy-Bear. He cared at the highest level whether it was business or personal. He was a dear, dear friend and ready to listen with honesty, wit and of course laughter. I will miss him dearly. I send my heartfelt sympathy to Susan, his children and family.

Alan was the kind of person and friend you dont get to meet many times in your lifetime. I can fill this page with just great memories and laughs. On more than one occasion he would call me "an angry young man" during one of our many fun and spirited debates. Today I am not the angriest but the saddest. I will always cherish the time we had together.

My heart goes out to Susan,Erica,Alex, Carrie and all of the Colodner family. You will be greatly missed my friend.

My heartfelt condolences to his family.
I had the pleasure of meeting Al about 5 years ago at Fishkill All Sport, part of our early morning crew. He was a member of our last Friday of the month breakfast group at 84 Diner.
I would see him often umpiring Beacon HS team baseball games at Dutchess Stadium on which my grandsons played.
Great individual and family man.

I am completely shocked and saddened. I've known Alan and his wonderful family for nearly 40 years, and consider him one of my first and best adult friends. We had planned to see Alan and Susan here in Austin in just a couple of weeks. It is hard to even comprehend what has happened. Our love to Alan, Susan and the family...words can not express how we feel.
