Dear Frankie, we called you Frankie then in Corrado's when I worked with you as a teenager in 1976-1977 and I was close friends with your sister Teresa at Mary Help. I have thought about you many times over the years and about Teresa but just came upon this today. It has been many years since you went to Heaven, but I wish your family peace. And watch over all of them. And to the Lalama family, my heart goes out to you. He was a terrific guy. Barbara (Allen) Iozzia, Old Bridge, NJ.

I worked as a temp for the port authority and Mr. Lalama was my supervisor. Although I only worked on the assignment for about 6 weeks I remember he was very kind to me. This was around the holiday season and even though I had only been working there about two weeks and I was a temp worker who would be leaving soon Mr. Lalama made me feel very welcomed and he even bought me a holiday gift which was a very lovely, gift-wrapped large scented candle large enough to be used as a center-piece. I'm also from Essex County, Bloomfield, so we would converse about our experiences commuting to the city from our neighborhoods. He was a very nice man.

Dear Family of Franco Lalama....On September 11, 2002 it was my pleasure to participate in the Patriot Ride that took place through the Valley of the Sun. Over 7200 motorcycles gathered togeather for a memorial ride for every life that perished a year earlier. Each rider and some passengers were given a braclet with the name of a victim, I had Franco's.
The parade route was over 30 miles long and took over 2 hours from start to finish to get all riders to the State Capital. We were a sight that one could only imagine. People from all walks of life lined the parade route, children, highway workers, retired people, families, entire schools...each cheered us along.
Never in my life have I felt so proud to be an American. It was my honor to ride in memory of Franco Lalama!

I too, attended Don Bosco Tech HS with you, Franco. I recall your smile, your laughter, your friendship... and with gratitude. Putting together a Sept 11 Memorial at the school where I teach, I came across your picture with shock and deep sadness. None of us will ever forget that day, and now our tribute will be that much more meaningful to me. We'll meet again one day, Franco...until then, "Riposa en paci, mia amico".

This was passed onto me by a cousin. My Father was Primio Lalama from Pacentro, Italy. Franco has a strong resemblance to my Father & Grandfather, Concezio. If we are related I'm sorry to find out this way. We are terribly sorry for your loss. My husband and his brother are both Flight attendants, we were very lucky. Our prayers go out to you and all who have lost someone in this terrible ordeal. Maybe Franco, my father & grandfather are swapping wine recipes together in heaven.
God Bless!!!

We will always be there for your family. Linda and the children mean the world to us. Your spirit will guide them. Someday we'll meet again. Rest in peace with God and the angels.

Franco, what can we say. We miss you terribly. Joe just isn't the same without you. He misses the morning coffee with you. He misses taking the train home with you. He simply misses you. We prayed day in and day out that you would be found and be brought back to your wife, children, family and friends. You have now been found and that has given us some closure. We will forever miss you and your great Italian smile. Our prayers will always be with your family. And when the time comes that we meet again, make sure the espresso is strong and hot!! Joe and Toni

We are very sorry for your loss of Franco. May his wine making abilities, his life and love continue living on in those who love him. Our hearts cry with you.
America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
