Liming, I don't know who you are, but I read your memorial written by your wife. I signed a "tribute" today in honor of the victims of 9-11 and because I did not know anyone personally I opted to be assigned to someone. That someone was you. Because of that I was able to read a bit about you, see how much you are loved, honored, and remembered by your loved ones here. You sound like a beautiful person. I am so very sorry your life was cut short by this tragedy, that you were unable to watch your son grow. May God Bless your family. Tomorrow, I will teach my children about you. Please know I honor your life, and your family is in my prayers.

Goodbye Michael Liming Gu;
may you ever grow in our hearts.
You were the grace that placed itself
where lives were torn apart.
You called out to our country,
and you whispered to those in pain.
Now you belong to heaven,
and the stars spell out your name.
And it seems to me you lived your life
like a candle in the wind:
never fading with the sunset
when the rain set in.
And your footsteps will always fall here,
along America's greenest hills;
your candle's burned out long before
your legend ever will.
Loveliness we've lost;
these empty days without your smile.
This torch we'll always carry
for our nation's golden child.
And even though we try,
the truth brings us to tears;
all our words cannot express
the joy you brought us through the years.
Goodbye Michael Liming Gu,
from a country lost without your soul,
who'll miss the wings of your compassion
more than you'll ever know.

I worked with Michael at another company. I did not learn of his death until I saw it on the CNN site. He was a great person, hardworking and soft spoken. He will be greatly missed both personally and professionally.

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn

Dear Family of Liming Gu,
Through our church in CA. I had an opportunity to make a small contribution to your family and on my refrigerator is a magnet with Liming's name printed on it. I will remember you in my heart and through my prayers. I am so sorry for your great loss. My prayer is for our Father in heaven to comfort you and give you His peace during this time of grief. Please know our thoughts are with you.
With our love and concern, Jan and Jon McClintock
