I never knew Sandy, but I came across his story on a Facebook group sharing birthday tributes for victims of 9/11. He seemed like a wonderful man. If anyone of his loved ones are reading this, please know that he continues to make an impact on peoples lives, even strangers, 23 years on. May he rest in peace.

Sandy.. I counted you as a friend, and colleague, even though I lived so far away. I came to Accenture in September 1998 and will never forget your smile, friendliness, and willingness to help. Living in Rochester, I only got to New York 4 times a year, and each time Sandy greeted me as I got there at 8:00 AM. We walked to the small break room where I got coffee while Sandy asked how I was and talked about his son.. he was so proud of his son.
Sandy.. I will always remember you as long as I live.

Sandy my old friend, it has been 10 years since you were taken from us and I still find it hard to believe how lucky I was to get out. I still think of you often and remember the good times we had at Guy Carpenter all those years we worked together. You will live forever inside the ones who knew what a true gentlemen you were.

I just recently found this site. I went to Far Rockaway High School with Sandy. I knew Sandy in passing in high school. I discovered that Sandy was gone when I visited the FRHS Alumni site.
I was very saddened to find out that Sandy was gone. All my prayers go to Sandys family.

It's taken me a long time to write this to the Stoller family. I moved to Florida August 31, 2001 & had a very difficult time following 9/11. I lost several friends there. I hung around with Sandy, Alan Levy & Tony Ramos when we all lived in Wavecrest. My brothers & I along with Sandy & Alan played together constantly. We really enjoyed going to the beach. My heart goes out to the entire Stoller family. Your husband and dad was "one of a kind"!

September 11, 2002: Today we received a spruce tree in honor of Sanford Stoller. It was with honor that we planted it in our backyard. Please know that our family holds you in our hearts, and we will think of Mr. Stoller and all the other victims every day. In peace, Nancy, Barry, Emily and Alex.

Dear Sandy,
I know that i dont' know you or your family very well. Today at my school we had a prayer service for September 11th. My teacher asked us all to pick out a couple of names and pray for them and there family. I some how luckily got your name. It seems that by all your family and friends messages you were a great man and were loved very much

Sandy was my neighbor. We lived on the same floor for many years. He never failed to smile and say "Hello, how are you?" whenever my daughter or I met him in the hallway. He had a smile like the sunshine. We would see him at least once a day, every day for many years. We will always miss his laughing smile and friendly manner. We grieve in kind with his wife, Trudy and his sons, Eric and Glenn. May he laugh with the Angels and may his soul rest in peace for eternity.

I had known and worked with Sandy for 23 years. He was one of the first people I worked side by side with at Guy Carpenter. I have never met such a kind person. In all those years I never heard Sandy say a bad word about anybody. He was always helpfull and would go out of his way to help others. I was lucky that day and escaped from 2wtc. When I wake every morning I don't think more that 30 seconds goes by before I think of Sandy. I want his wife and sons to know how loved Sandy was by all of his coworkers. I will never forget him and will always tell people want a kind and gentle person he was. His sons can be very proud of their father and know how much he meant to all of us.

I will always remember Sandy as a kid I grew up with in Wavecrest.
The first thought that has always entered my mind (even before September 11th) was how beautifully he ran.
Sandy, you'll always be in my heart.

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn

Like the rest of America I am deeply saddened by the events of September 11. My prayers and the prayers of my family and friends go out to all the victims and their families. As I was looking thru the list of victims I was surprised to see a Stoller on the lilst. To Sanford's family I send my prayers and love. May God richly bless and comfort you as you deal with the lose of Sanford.
