I´m a Canadian but wanted to honour the people who lost their lives on 9/11. I don´t know why Andre was the person I chose, but his smile just seems infectious and I believe he was a pure soul. Thinking of his family and friends

As the worst month in maybe history approaches, I deeply think about someone who I have never met but is family. Heard so much good things from one of my favorite Uncles, Carlo Bonheur. My deepest condolences to you and yours, as well as to my mom, Marie C. Bonheur.

To the beloved family of Andre Bonheur,
Please know that very little time passes that I do not think of your brother, father, husband and son.
In the days after 9/11, I briefly met with Andre's Dad and brothers at the Citibank Branch at Church and Flatbush Avenue. For always, those few moments that I shared with all of you are imbedded in my heart. I want all of you to know that I am now relocated in Sarasota, FL, and, yet, every year I have arranged to have a special Memorial Prayer said in honour of Andre.
This year's, 2012, Memorial Prayer will be chanted at St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church on Sunday, September 9th. May his memory be eternal. And, may God bless all of you, and may He grant all of you grace, peace and tenderness of heart.

Andre, I have read about you through the writing's here on the site. I can see that you were a good friend to a lot of people. I was living in Los Angeles when this happened. I didn't know any of the victims of this horrible event. My wife is from Brooklyn, and all of her relatives are from NY as well. I am very sorry for all who suffered the loss of a loved one, and I am sorry for your family.

I Met Andre bonheur, more than once, at the humble home of my Grandparent's, in brooklyn ny, back in the late 90's. when i and andre used to talk, and sometime's joke, it would be because, we both had the same 1st. name's. Andre.
He seemed to me, to be a very intellegent individual, and he also made me feel very comfortable, knowing that he was doing his work, and making it his buisness to make sure my grandparent's were happy with his services.
To Andre's Family, i just would like to let you know that, i think of him so often, and not because of our name's being the same, but i truly do remember how we would joke from, time to time, in my Grandparent's livingroom.
His unforgetable Smile, and also his uncanny personality.
You know a Good person in this life when you see 1...
Andre was from 1st sight, a great person.
i Saw, and i felt his dedication to his work.
I found 1 of his buisness card's while looking through some of my grandparent's old paperwork... How i was still shocked, and saddend by disbelief.
God Bless and, keep you Bonheur Family.

Andre, we never met. For some reason your name chose me as I looked over Omaha's 9/11 tribute. Please see attached. http://www.pbase.com/barley23/image/117146445
I never had a personal connection to 9/11 but (as I have had time to think about it) for some reason Andre's name came to me as I walked among the names of those who perished. I can't explain it. I can only hope that this small tribute and me stopping by to pay homage to it will have some benefit.
Reading the messages on this website reminds me of how important one can be to many other people in life. I hope my life can be as meaningful as yours obviously was!!

As I sit and watch the 911 Memorial today, I can still see you smiling. There is not a day in my life that I don't think about how nice you were to me and my brother Reggie. I can never recall a day that seen you mad or upset. You were a great man, God had a greater purpose for you.
May God bless your soul

As we mark the 6th year anniversary of the terrible tragedy that forever changed the world. I take comfort in knowing that Andre Bonheur is smiling down on his family and friends today. Because of the person that he was...and the way that he lead his life and treated his fellow mankind....I know that God has reserved a special place for him in his kingdom. I know that this is not what we wanted...to be separated from him so abruptly....but please believe that he is okay and is doing the Lord's work now and watching over those he left behind. My heart goes out to all of us who knew and loved him.

To Andre,
I'm blessed to have had an older brother like you. I always looked up to you and tried to be so much like you. I am so thankful of the wonderful memories we had together as a family and how you kept us together after the passing of our mother. May the Lord receive you and may his grace be upon you. Rest in peace my beloved brother. I could never have imagined losing you, you were truly a big brother. It seems like yesterday when I last saw you on Labor Day before you went to the Carnival. True love never dies. Jesus is love.
Love always,
Your Brother in Christ!

In reading this guest book, it is comforting to read the many blessings and comments left by so many, especially those who didn't know Andre. Someone commented on how happy he looked and that he was a gentle giant; all these things are true. Andre was a brother who truly cared about people, especially his family. I have fond memories of him throughout my life where he was there teaching me, standing up for me and consoling me. I am happy we were able to spend some time together a few weeks before 9/11. He is truly missed. I find comfort in knowing that I will see him and my mother again with the Lord. God bless all who are mourning; you are in my prayers.

Today, 9/11/2002, I wore a red heart
with Andre's name printed on it as I
sang the Mozart Requiem with the
North Carolina Symphony in tribute
to all lives lost on 9/11/2001. We
were part of the Rolling Requiem
and began our concert at 8:46 am
in Raleigh, N.C. I was honored to
wear Andre's name as I sang. His
picture shows so much happiness.
I will continue to remember Andre
and his family.

My condolences go out to Andre's family. Andre and I were partners in our training class with Citibank in San Antonio, Texas which is where I met him. We kept in touch afterwards and he was in the process of helping me get a position at the World Trade Center location because I was planning on moving to New York from Chicago in August prior to the Septemeber 11 tragedy. He was very kind and helpful. I changed my mind about going and had been trying to contact him not knowing that he was a victim of the tragedy. I was very shocked and saddened. He was a gentle giant and he will be missed. He was doing very well at Citibank, winning several sales awards and trips, he was a model employee. My prayers are with the family, may God bless and keep you.

IN OUR HEARTS
We thought of you with love today.
But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday.
And days before that too.
We think of you in silence.
We often speak your name.
Now all we have is memories.
And your picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake.
With which we'll never part.
God has you in his keeping.
We have you in our heart.

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
