Thinking of you Frank, it’s been 22 years and although you were prematurely and tragically taken away from your family and friends the memories you created remain strong and will live on for eternity. Your commitment to your profession, brethren and unselfish sacrifice for the citizens of New York and the United States of America was not in vain nor will it ever be forgotten. Rest in Peace my old friend and may God continue to provide his loving grace and comforted blessing over your family during this solemn day.

Thinking about you old friend, 21 years seem to have passed in the blink of an eye but the memories you left us with remain indelible and are forever imprinted in our minds and hearts. As always, my continued thoughts and prayers are with your wife Margarite, son Joseph, daughter Juliana, sister Lenore and the entire Bonomo family on this most somber anniversary. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted” – Matthew 5:4

Dear Frank
You have been gone twenty years on 9/11, it doesn't seem possible but it seems like yesterday that it happened. You were such a special guy and a wonderful person to know and hear all the stories about everything.
May God continue to hold you in the palm of his hands. God bless.

Rest in peace my friend, your memory, selfless sacrifice and heroism has not and will never be forgotten. 20 years have passed and that infamous day in America’s history remains an intense reminder of what being a selfless public servant exemplifies and should also continuously serve as an unambiguous reminder of how such a tragedy once awakened our country’s patriotic spirit and unified all Americans from different walks of life and persuasions. Although a lot may have changed since that dreadful and iniquitous moment in time, the spirit and memory of Frank and the other brave lost souls that ominous morning will never be diminished by the passage of time. To Margarite, Frank’s son Joseph, daughter Juliana, sister Lenore and the entire Bonomo family I extend my deepest condolences on this most sacred day and offer a passage from Mathew 5:4, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted” as a small comforting thought in remembrance of and in Frank’s honor.

September 11, 2020
Here we are, 19 years later, another year has passed. In that time we have come to witness America, our way of life and our beliefs being shaken to their cores. With all the craziness and mass hysteria going around it may seem as if Frank’s sacrifice was in vein and/or forgotten. To the Bonomo family, although it may seem contrary, rest assured there are many Americans who have not forgotten the ultimate sacrifice Frank and many others unselfishly made on that fateful morning on September 11, 2001. Nearly two decades later I still think about and recall many fond memories of Frank and I, as many others, will “never forget” his brave service and the ultimate sacrifice he and so many others made for us. So once again, to his wife Margarite, son Joseph, daughter Juliana, sister Lenore and the entire Bonomo family, I wish to express my most sincere condolences on this solemn anniversary and pray to God that he continues bestowing his benevolent blessings upon Frank and the entire Bonomo family during these unprecedented times as he lovingly protects and leads us and our great country forward into the future.

Yes Frank had a great sense of Humor... Met him in the 80's when he and his dad had the TV repair and Video Rental shop. I set him Up a program to keep track of the Rental Videos. He gave me a Coffee Mug. Which to this day I still have. It's safe guarded on a top shelf in my Kitchen. Every once in a while. I take it down. Fill it with Coffee and say "HERE'S THINKING OF YOU FRANK" I THINK OF YOU AND your wife and children. Who, I'm sure miss you very much... rest in peace Frank Joseph Bonomo.... Its been 18 years since that infamous day and the memories remain as vivid today as if it all occurred yesterday. To his wife Margarite, son Joseph, daughter Juliana, sister Lenore and the entire Bonomo family, I extend my deepest condolences on this most solemn of days and pray Gods grace continues to provide each of you with his loving warmth and comfort. Ill forever remember Franks infectious laughter and endless sense of humor back in the days when we used to joke around in junior and senior high school. None of us could have ever imagined how those innocent youthful moments in time would have created such indelible memories that, over forty years later, we can still recall each with joyous clarity as we continue to cherish them more with every passing year. God bless Frank for his heroic service, may we never forget the ultimate sacrifice he, his brethren and America made on that horrible day in our lives.

I hope you will be reading all of these wonderful messages that have been posted here from people who knew and didn't know Frank. Those that knew him were truly blessed by knowing him. There are so many things I remember about him. The Picture of him in the Indy race car. That old ratter car he drove to work. He called it "His Ghetto car" I remember when He talked to me about his fathers cancer and death. Most of all I remember a cup that he gave me. It wasn't much it came from a promo company that made pens etc with your business name on them .He had gotten it one Christmas and passed it on to me. 15 years later, I still have it. I fill it up with coffee and say this ones for you Frank. I call it my Frank cup. The ad once written on the cup is long gone, But Frank's memory will never fade. Again I do hope you are able to read all the things said that were said by people touched by Frank. Jr. must be about 17 ?? Tell him "his father was a hero and left a legacy of memories behind." Bless you... Rich K

Margarite, Joseph, Juliana and Lenore, although it has been 12 years today, I am still deeply saddened by the memory of Frank's loss. I cannot begin to imagine the pain and sorrow his absence has forever left upon each of your lives. While the sadness will always remain in our hearts and souls, I hope each of you find comfort knowing Frank left deep impressions in the lives of everyone he touched during his lifetime. I, as many others, will always remember his quick-witted humor, gregarious laughter, insatiable love of life and perhaps most of all the heroic actions and untimely sacrifice he made for both America and the people he loved most in his life on that fateful day. May God continue bestowing his blessings upon each of you.

My name is Jessica Kasprowicz. I am the niece of Bobby (Robert) Kasprowicz. I was just a baby when I knew Frank. My Uncle Bobby told me so much about him after he passed away being the hero that he IS, not was. He seems like an amazing person. I wish I would have been given the chance to know Frank as an adult, but I feel as though I did know him well just from the stories I have heard about him. When I visited the memorial museum in NYC (I moved to GA) I was able to find Frank's name, and even though I was only a baby when I knew him, I felt a rush of Emotions!!! My heart goes out to Frank's family, friends, and loved ones. He is always with us, and is truly the Hero that everyone says!

He gave me a mug that he'd gotten from some Ad company at Christmas time because I admired it. I still have it and have a cup of coffee every day and think of Frank. I recently saw the memorial in the newspaper, honoring Frank Bonomo and realized I knew him. Frankie and I were childhood neighbors while living on 60th Ave in Maspeth. My mother Roe and his mother Kay were good friends. I remember visiting their home in Setauket in the summertime. Frankie would take my sister and I blackberry picking, searching for frogs on the unpaved road to their house and taking us on the wood trails behind their home with Coco their dog. I only knew him as a young child and was very saddened to hear that he passed away on September 11th. My heart felt condolences go out to Lenore, Kay and Joe. Rest in Peace Frankie.
