I spent my early teens in a classroom with Simon. Sat next to him for several terms in the Rowbottom class Always honest and direct with an individual personality that allowed him to be different and not swayed by others. I remember him coming to school in this grey heavy greatcoat that he was teased about after joining the RAF cadets. He said he didnt care what others thought. He was getting a career in the military after he left school and he planned that far ahead. Funny and kind he helped me get through some bad times at school. I lost touch after I left school at 16, but I remember the fun times we had. I live in Australia now with my family. I only just learnt of his passing through a mutual friend. Best wishes to his family. Stuart Walsh. AKA Mash

The name of your loved one is featured in my video (A Visit to the WTC MEMORIAL). I thought you might want to take a look. It's a peaceful tribute to those who lost their lives that day. Thank you and God Bless...

God Bless Simon. We went to Mile End together, I worked at his Mum and dad's restaurant with him, and we went on vacation together. I remember the Norfolk Broads, when after 90 minutes sailing we thought"Si's been in the bathroom a while". Only to find, we'd left him as the last mooring stop :) Happy times.
Prayers to Elizabeth and William.

Simon was a wonderful host and the perfect guest when we reciprocated. I remember the dinner party in our flat in Clapham in 1988 a wonderful summer evening with the breeze blowing through the open windows. Simon you were a charming and funny guy. Rest in Peace, and God Bless you.

Life's a puzzle...isn't it? I was looking up a friend's obituary and clicked onto the Sept 11th icon, and the the memorials of WTC victims, and your family member's first name struck me as I've always loved the name "Simon" if I had another boy. I continued to read his tribute and was deeply touched. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your son, William (also a very strong name)My birthday is the 12th of Nov, but I will send out my very best wishes to William on November 14th for his first birthday. God bless.

IF I should die, think only this of me;
That there's some corner of a foreign field
That is for ever England. There shall be
In that rich earth a richer dust concealed;
A dust whom England bore, shaped, made aware,
Gave, once, her flowers to love, her ways to roam,
A body of England's breathing English air,
Washed by the rivers, blest by suns of home.
And think, this heart, all evil shed away,
A pulse in the eternal mind, no less
Gives somewhere back the thoughts by England given;
Her sights and sounds; dreams happy as her day;
And laughter, learnt of friends; and gentleness,
In hearts at peace, under an English heaven.

I didn't know Simon but I feel as if I did. He sounds so much like my father, also H.A.C. and who died last year. I am so sorry for your loss now when I think of my beloved father a thought will also be there for Simon. As an actress I have always carried on the stage with me all my loved ones who are no longer around and it keeps them alive so I will carry your Simon along with the rest .
All my very best to you and your new child.

The world cries for the loss of Simon. We are so sorry for such a tremendous loss.
America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
