Remembering you today Colleen. I will never forget this day and my time in Germany at the time, when I was at least happy to hear you spoke to your family this day. This, my 16th year of remembrance and I still feel the pain as if it were yesterday. The memorials that have been created in memory of those loved ones lost, serve to remind us that we will not and can not forget. For every day that we allow terrorism to continue, is a day where love lost.
As we have done the previous 15 years, we light a candle to burn through the night in solitude. One shining light for those lost and for those left behind who are still heartbroken.
We remember, Colleen. We remember.

It's been 15 years and we still remember with an ache in our hearts. We cry when we watch the footage and when we teach the children. My daughter is old enough to remember lighting the candle and why. Tonight, as I have done every year since you and those who perished with you closed your eyes for the final time, we will light a candle that will burn through the night until it's flame can burn no more. In memory of those fallen, those who died while saving others, and for those who had no choice...we remember.

I never met Colleen. But I took the ferry in/out of NYC and remember her picture in the terminal along with the others who were missing. One day, while waiting for the ferry, I looked at all the pictures and decided to pick one person, a stranger, and vowed to remember her name as long as I could. Hers I still remember every year on this day - she will not be forgotten, not even by a stranger.
Blessings to her family that she left behind.

I went to college and studied abroad with Colleen. She was just as described by those that knew her. I was a very shy person and she always made me feel comfortable in her presence. I had not googled her name until today, now that I did, I do not know why it took me so long. It is wonderful to see her smile just as I remember it. It is wonderful to see the messages and information about her to answer some of the questions I have thought about for the past ten years. SHe is truly an angel. I ache for her family that they were robbed these past ten years with her. God Bless her and everyone she loved. It is no exaggeration that she was truly a lovely individual.

It was 10 years ago now that one of her friends in New York came down the aisle of our church on the Sunday after 9-11 in tears, asking that we pray for her. Sunday, we will do so yet again, as for me, she has become the "personal" face of the tragedy that was 9-11. Rest eternal grant her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. Rev. I dont know your daughter In fact I know none of the victims at all . I just know that I feel so terrible for you and all of the families that lost a family member a friend or a co -worker that day . It's been almost 8 years and that day will forever be burned in my memory like it was yesterday . From the bottom of my heart, I am deeply sorry for your loss and the pain that you and others go through each day . I wish so much that there was something I do. I just want to help . Your daughter was a very beautiful young woman and I'm sure she had a beautiful heart aswell . Take care and know that there is someone from Cape Cod thinking of you and the other families everday .

To the Supinski family. These past 6 years have flown by so fast, but I will never forget that horrifying day. As an EMT, and current student going for RN, I have a warm compassion for people. On that day, I wasn't able to be part of a rescue team, but would have given my life to save another. When I found the bench bearing Colleen's name in Forks Twp. It hit close to home, and since then I haven't forgotten her, since I too am from the Easton area. I just want to let you know that I will never forget her, and you all will stay in my heart as well. I will always remember Colleen. She was a friend of my daughters, Mary and Zoe who attended Notre Dame High School with her. They all ran track--and I have many happy memories, standing with Colleen's parents, Noreen and Steve, watching our kids run their hearts out. I remember Colleen as always smilling and I can still hear her exclaiming "Hi, Mrs Pappas!!" every time I saw her. I think of her when I am running and the going gets tough--her memory inspires me. I can't imagine the sorrow for her family and close friends and pray that God will comfort them always. I'm grateful that I had the privilege of knowing Colleen here on earth and know she will greet me again some day, with the same cheery "Hi Mrs. Pappas!!"

I graduated from Notre Dame in 1995. I didn't know Colleen very well but I could tell that, because of her big smile, she was very happy. I was not a runner then nor am I today, however, I am running in her race tomorrow to honor her and those that she left behind. I met Colleen at Notre Dame High School when I was a freshman and she was a senior. As everyone who has ever met her knows, she had a smile and a spirit that is contagious. She inspired me through track season with her ever present determination and convinced me to join the cross-country team at Notre Dame. I haven't stopped running since and with each step I take, I carry Colleen's memory with me. My heart and prayers go out to her whole family. God bless you.

The last time I saw Colleen face to face was at Windows on the World-she and some colleagues came up for a holiday party we had- the one thing I really remember thinking about her was she had a really genuine smile and a sunny disposition- she was really happy to see people. Though I did not know Colleen well in college, we had "found" each other through a conversation that I had with her co-worker, Tommy Clark, when we realized that we went to SU together. I attended Susquehanna Unversity with Colleen and will never forget her overwhelmingly friendly, and warm personality. We had great times in Dr. Kolbert's French class, and she had later talked me into spending time in Southern France, which, might I add, was an extremely good piece of advice. Her smile was quite contageous, not too mention quite consistent, and wondered how she kept it up! God bless you Colleen! You will be missed but never forgotten!

Dear Colleen, I don't know you and never met you. I only know of you because I saw you're profile in the newspaper. You and I are the same age. I keep your photo out where I can see it everyday to remind me to live my life as fully as I can, to do all the things I've planned to do because there are those who no longer have the opportunity. I look at your picture and remind myself to take it easy and try to make the best of what's in front of me because you don't know which day is your last. Every day that I get to stay on Earth, I will try to live that day for myself and for you, to pay tribute to your exit from this world. God bless you wherever you are. Thank you for helping me to understand the importance of living in the moment and being grateful for it.

Despite this being a national tragedy, it still seemed so far away from us in Wisconsin, until one of our members who knew Colleen asked us to pray specifically for her following the tower's collapse.
As a pastor and a fellow runner, I have prayed for her every day for the last year, and I pray for you, her family, that in the midst of this senselessness, you will find peace.
God bless you this day of remembrance, as God will continue to bless her.

Out of all the people I met at those parties, you always stood out in my mind.I always remebered your smiling face and pleasant manner.
