Never forget. I didn't know Tawanna. I attended a 20th anniversary Memorial recognition in Hanover, Pennsylvania, September 10 - 12, 2021. I sponsored 2 of 3000 American flags displayed on a field for 10 days, by the Exchange Club of Hanover, PA. I told the committee to choose for me someone to remember, and I am honored to have the Flag in Memory of Tawanna now flying at my home. I am so humbled by learning about you, 20 years later. I will never forget, and now you and your family are part of mine. God Bless you, your family, and God Bless America.

As I reflect with love, affection and respect on your memory Tawanna I can't help but think what a wonderful spirit was taken from us. GOD has received you to HIMSELF and in this we take a measure of comfort. Your family is in our prayers. All of your sisters and brothers from Clara Barton HS '91 in Brooklyn love you and have NEVER stopped thinking about you. We will NEVER forget. We are hopeful for a day in which we can leave the burden of sorrow behind but in the meantime with heavy hearts we send you our small tribute xoxox

To the Griffin Family:
Today for a remembrance ceremony I wrote Tawanna's name on a banner. It may have been at random, but it compelled me to find some way to tell you that Tawanna will not be forgotten. My prayers are with you today, and may God bless you.

HI Bobby, I'm not sure if you remember me but, Tawana worked with my fiancee Azael Vasquez. I spoke to you over the phone in Sept 01'. I know that you must feel like giving up sometimes just like I do but our kids are what helps us keep on going. Stay strong for you wife, because I know shes helping you out spiritually. May God bless you and your son.

We are very sorry for your loss of Tawanna. Such a regal, important and strong looking smile she has in the picture. It must be a reflection of her heart. May Tawanna's life and love live in those who love her. Our hearts cry with you.
America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
