FAMILY. I WENT TO ST. JOSEPH'S SHRINE IN STERLING, N.J. LAST NIGHT BECAUSE THEY ALWAYS HAVE A SPECIAL CEREMONY TO REMEMBER 9/11. RYAN'S NAME IS ON THE WALL AND I LEFT 3 YELLOW ROSES FOR HIM.
THE BELLS THERE RING ALL DAY AT THE TIME INTERVALS THAT THE PLANES STRUCK.
THE PEOPLE ATTENDING ARE ALLOWED TO STRIKE THE BELL AND SAY THE NAME OF THE PERSON THEY WISH TO REMEMBER. I SAID RYAN'S NAME OUT LOUD AND HE IS REMEMBERED.

When Ryan came back from Ireland he showed me a sweater or a "JUMPER" they say at Ireland as my mother says "at home". The sweater he bought Darcy he asked me if I liked it I said yes it was yellow I believe. He was proud of that sweater I hope it was a good gift.
He was full of life and said his walk to the train station was a couple of block vs mine a mile at the Mineola LIRR line. He was very excited to get the job on the trading desk. I was there when he got the phone call he was so happy. Ryan was close with the guys in my department and we hung out often. It was gift to have worked with him and inspiration for all of us at Fiduciary Trust. I use to split cabs with him to the Upper East Side my sister lived around the block from Darcy. Ryan loved that trip to Ireland in 2000 he always talked about Matt and Kiernan his best friends and Anthony from Kings came out all the time. He loved the Yankees I was with him at the Town Crier when they won in October 2000.. Go Yankees..

I miss Ryan everyday I keep his memory alive. I was telling my mom the story tonight he was booking his trip to Ireland with Kiernan and he asked me how to spell Aer Lingus I said your Irish and you don't know to spell it. Its not Air its Aer my mother a native of Ireland I always knew that and terminal 4 at JFK. He enjoyed that trip in 2000 to visit his friend Matt. Its a great memory I have of him.. Hopefully the Yankees win the series this time around. My hair was mess one day I was holding it up with a rubberband then he came over with his sister hair ties . It was a big help.

Hi Ryan, It doesn't really seem like 10 years have passed. We all miss you still.
We again went to St. Joseph's Shrine here in N.J. They have two steel girders from the WTC. Between the girders hang four bells from a cathedral and they ring twice every hour to remember the times the planes hit our towers. 400 people attended this year. We all had candles and there were candles along all the walls. We put a rose next to your name. We had a bell choir and an Irish lyricist wrote and sang a beautiful new song dedicated to those lost on that awful day. It was entitled "WE REMEMBER".
Darci remembered you by spending the day at the shore with her husband who also has heard all about you. Karl and Lori, Chris, Charlie and I still think about you very often. We send love and hugs to you. Diane Spinner

Ryan and I shared the same birthday and I keep a picture of us from college on our 20th birthday in my desk at work. Each year around the anniversary of 9/11 I take that photo out and show my students. I show them that beaming smile of Ryan's and his full of life appearance. I share a story of how his life ended too soon. Thinking and praying for you and your family today. Psalm 147:3 states that God heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds and my prayer is that the wounds of 9/11 both emotionally and physically are healed through God's unfailing love for us.

I recently learned of Ryan's passing after reconnecting with some childhood friends. I used to live next to Ryan on 115th street in Richmond Hill. I have very fond memories of those days, and of Ryan. I remember playing baseball in the street with all of my friends, and when Ryan was old enough, I remember him grabbing his glove (and his yankee wristbands), his hat, ready to play. He was a kind, gentle, and warm hearted kid. He was easy to like, and didn't have a mean bone in his body. For those us fortunate enough to know Ryan, we will never forget his warm smile and kind heart. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
God Bless you Ryan

To Ryan's family & friends,
I just came across this page and I wanted to share a special memory of Ryan.
I attended King's College with your son. Although we were in different majors, he was in a few of my core classes along the way.
I had back surgery in high school and was unable to walk on my own afterwards. I used crutches the entire time I was at King's. This made it difficult for me to carry my backpack and all my school books from class to class.
Apparently, your son took notice of this and decided to introduce himself to me one day. With the most sincere smile, he offered to give me a hand and on several occasions carried my books and walked me to my next class.
I will tell you that I have NEVER forgotten this amazingly kind and compassionate gesture. When I learned of his passing, I immediately flashed back to those moments with Ryan where I learned that there are good people in this world who do care and want to help others.
Your son, in his own small way, made my life easier on those days we had class together.
I will never forget his kindness, patience and empathy.
Sincerely,
Diane & Charlie Spinner

Hey Ryan, I heard from an old college friend the other day. We were remembering some funny times (some of which involved you) and laughing so hard. As soon as we said your name the laughter slowed as if we were ashamed to smile. Then we realized, you had the biggest smile and would have wanted to be remembered with laughter. That is how we will always remember you. God bless you and your family and Darci and her family. Time may heal our hearts, but it will never take you from them.

The World Trade Center
Who is my mentor?
New York City is the place of dreams
All that is left is those beams
On the top of the world with a view for miles
Calculating prices, foreign currency rates, spot rates NAV paper piles
Jumping on the 6 train the Yankees Stadium at Fulton Street
Dancing around the Bloomberg concerts around the Globes tourists to meet
Mets Games at Shea Stadium transfer to the 7 line at Grand Central Station
Head to see the Jets or Giants play in the meadowlands from the path it’s a great nation
Jump of the 1&9 train to South Ferry first five cars to take the ferry
Cruising the New York Bay, Visiting Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty, we are merry
Lets hang out at Morans our Southwest in the Financial Center drinking beers with all Wall Street on the water
The new building built across the river in Jersey City is taller
Take a boat ride on the New York Waterway ferry around the harbor
Look up and the tremendous city these beautiful buildings can they get larger
Eating at the Hoboken path train concourse level
Showing ones’ work ID before we head up to above way above sea level
Looking out at the beautiful view the bridges, the Empire State building
Pounding out those prices on the 90th floor for month end reporting
Listening to the new music on cd recordings
Working under pressure to meet the deadline end of day stock close
Calling around the company where are we going tonight who knows
The Wall Street race and the World Trade Center
We come from far to work and strive to achieve the stockbroker’s dream
To trade, price securities, add numbers, create financial formulas in excel
However, the World Trade Center Fell
It was great place even though it is not here today
Those survivors are still out to make the millions the Wall Street ultimate pay!

Ryan,
I met you 8 years ago today and we where very close and age both from Long Island. It was my first day at Fiduciary Trust it seems like yesterday. I will really never really understand this loss or why this happened. I think of you today and think of all the days we worked together and nights down at Morans. I think of all memories and the other guys from department and conversations and dreams you had. 8 years from the day I will be at Tuesdays Children who are opening their doors to workers from the building trying to get all those still suffering still headed in the right direction. I miss you and think of you always. I have many friends from Floral Park that is something we knew a lot of the same people. Your memory is always with us especially today.. Your friend!

Ryan,
I went to the Nassau County Memorial in Eishonhower Park and your name is on it. While I was at Eishonhower Park this past weekend one of the stickers on the car said Kings College. I remember how you use to talk about Kings frequently and your good times in Pennslyvania and your two week spring trip down to Fort Myers. We had good times at work and I have many found memories. Yes, you did like Banana Republic because your where constantly buying items from the store. I have seen one of your friends around town. Many people miss you Ryan and we have found memories of you. I read the sayings on this website from family members. He spoke of his sisters frequently and his parents. He loved all you very much. He loved his friends he grew up with. Until we meet again Ryan.. You are never forgotten and will be remembered everyday always by your fellow coworkers, friends, love ones and community....

Yesterday was spent remembering all who died at the WTC.
We especially remembered you. What a nice smile you had! What beautiful blue eyes too. I heard your name announced on TV from the Memorial Site in Lower Manhattan.
I hung a flag in my window and visited the Memorial at St. Joseph's Shrine in Gilette, NJ. It has three girders from the WTC and three huge bells that ring all day long at each sequence of the time period that the planes hit the WTC. It has two walls with all the names on it. At last year's ceremony each bell rang and then we were told to hit the big bell with a hammer and say the name of the person we wished to remember and I said your name.
This year I placed deep purple flowers by your name and said some prayers for you. It's a lovely place with many flowers and walkways and brick walks. It's very peaceful and I feel that you can hear me when I'm there.
Darci suggested that I leave something from the Jets so I'll bring out a pennant. People are leaving all sorts of momentoes. One person left a golf ball.
You are still thought of often
We still send you lots of love
We hope you received lots of hugs in heaven yesterday.
