I will always remember Eileen and heartbroken that she would die so tragically. She was a childhood friend. We spent many hours playing together. She was always so sweet and kind and easy to be around. Her friends, Margaret, Brian and I, had a reunion in New York, and went to the 9/11 Memorial. We looked for Eileen's name, inside the memorial, and when we found her we discovered that we were standing at her picture on her birthday. Eileen has a strong spirit to pull us together and stand at her picture inside the 9/11 Memorial in honor of her on her birthday. We stood in silence at the coincidence and then hugged each other. She will always have a strong presence in my heart.

Some memories for today. Eileen was my tennis partner. We met at a class in Queens, and for years often met after work to play. Always only for fun and health, somehow we were at the same level and enjoyed our games and encouraged each other. We shared tickets to the tournament when we could get them. We went to the Bahamas for a tennis camp and I remember her aunt and uncle met her at the airport to drive her home. I saw her before I left NYC and we visited as we walked all over the Village looking for bags for a vacuum her brother had given her as a gift. Her closeness to her family was always apparent. I am sure they miss her dearly. Peace to her memory and to her family always.

Had the opportunity to talk and deal with Eileen (Aon was our aviation broker). While in NYC in Sep 2015, was walking up to WTC memorial fountain and walked right up to Eileen's name unknowingly. An amazing, emotional coincidence. Still affects me today.

I visited Morris Plains for a wedding this past summer and I stopped at the 9-11 Memorial by the train station. It was so nice to see the plaque made for Eileen's rememberance by the monument. It was a beautiful day to remember those who were lost during that time.

I received a bracelet about 8 years ago with Eileen's name on it. I will always remember her on 9/11. She sounds like she was a wonderful person and she loved cats like I do. I wish I could have known her. Rest In Peace.

To the family and friends of Eileen: I purchased a flag from the Healing Field in Hanover Pa in memorium of the 9/11 tragedy. I specifically looked for an Aon employee as I am will Aon as well and the New York office is near and dear to my heart. I did not know Eileen, but for some reason I was drawn to her flag and looking at the posts about her, I believe we would have been great friends. I will keep Eileen, and her family and friends in my prayers. God bless you all.

I always enjoyed our lunches or after work cocktails with Eileen, which were too few. So much laughter. We worked together while I was with aviation reinsurer ERG Mgmt and she at Aon/FBH - she was a joy to work with even when things were difficult. She is missed. God bless her and her family.

I signed up to get a memorial bracelet about 6 years ago. I have kept it and I came across it in my drawer the other day. Eileen's name was on it and it has 9/11/01 next to her name and it has an American flag. I wore it all day today in her memory. I never knew her. I just googled her name and this popped up. She sounds like a lovely person and it's such a shame she lost her life on this tragic day. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and my God be with them and her forever.

I worked with Eileen in AON's Aviation Division in WTC 2. She was always cheerful and ready to help anyone who needed it. She had a sharp wit that I really appreciated and she could always make me laugh.
I am glad to see that someone has taken care of her cats they were an important part of her life, she loved them so much.
It doesn't seem possible that such a vital person could be snuffed out so unjustly. My heart goes out to her family who have been robbed of so many good times together. Be strong for each other and remember that she is watching over you.

For Eileen -
I worked with Eileen for 16 years in the aviation dept at FBH/RHH/AON. From my first day at work when I sat at her desk until I got my own (she was on jury duty) and after a rocky start (until I discovered it was mornings she didn't like, not me) we were close friends and colleagues. I met all her cats, she and Jo gave me my beloved Samantha-cat, she came to my bridal shower and wedding, we worked together every day. So many memories of shared work and shared lives. After I "retired" from AON after my marriage, we still kept in touch, although as our lives diverged we did not speak to each other as much as we would have liked. Then came 9/11. I regret every day that passed that we did not speak. She still lives in my heart and I often think of her. It has taken me two years to be able to write this. Eil, I love you and thank you for being part of my life. God bless you and may you rest in peace. Karen

To the Family & Friends of Eileen:
I love to ride motorcycles and on 9/11/02 about 8000 of my fellow Americans and others rode in a parade that lasted all day and closed down Interstate 10 for 40 miles as we made our way to the state capitol here in Phoenix,Az.
We were each given a bracelet with the name of an American hero and best friend of someone....
I'm not sure if Eileen liked Harley's or not but I know that on that day she rode with me and will ride with me forever on the great american highways and byways.
I keep thinking about her and wonder what she was like.I found this site today and I know that sooner or later someone that knew her will read this and wish for me, peace and faith to those who knew her best.
I hope that we all keep the light of those that are led by Eileen in our hearts and never ever forget the beauty of the glow they gave us .
Every time I climb onto my ride I know that she will be with me. I ask those of you who knew her best "could I have a better partner on the back of my bike ? ".....I think not.
God bless you and may we always remember those who gave so much.
Peace be yours

Eileen, you will be greatly missed. I worked with Eileen in the Aviation Dept and if it wasn't for her help, support, and kindness I don't think that I would have stayed. Eileen sat two desk behind me and we would always talk in the morning and through the day. When I first heard that the plane came into tower 2 and that she was missing, I was very upset and hoped that she would turn up and be alright but that didn't happen and I will greatly miss her. She was one great person. Eileen, is now with the angels and will watch over her family. You will be missed.

In memory of Eileen Marsha Greenstein
We did not know Eileen, but my husband is the brother of Cam Sutton who works for Aon. I came across this on the internet and wanted to express our deepest sympathy. I have thought of all the lives lost that day and especially of the ones from my brother-in-laws company. It still hurts deeply. Our deepest deepest sympathy to the family.

May God bless you and keep you in his care. May your spirit live in the hearts of those whose lives you've touched so dearly. Your disappearance has brought your brother Eddie and I together again as friends we once were, almost 25 years ago. It's strange how tragedy can bring people together again. Eddie misses you and is trying to keep strong. May we never forget a beautiful person and never forget September 11, 2001.

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn

I was given a Mercy Band for Christmas bearing the name of Eileen M Greenstein WTC. My thoughts and prayers go out to her and her loved ones. I will never forget this name, of a stranger, who died so tragically on 9/11/01. The rest of my life I will "Bear Another's Name Daily" and that name is Eileen M Greenstein, a woman I wish I could have meet.
